Our holiday home in Kiesby is originally a 100 year old blacksmith. The original owner, born in 1861, H. Dietz mined, baked and sold peat in the peat bog "Grote Dieken". In 2008, we fulfilled our dream of having our own holiday home and a haven of tranquility and lovingly converted it into a holiday home according to our wishes and needs. For 10 years we enjoy the peace and quiet around the house and look forward to the weekend breakfast on rabbits and deer. Enjoy your holidays away from the hustle and bustle, without Wi-Fi and telephone. And why cow Castle? The name has its origin in our surname - Kuberg. During a leisurely weekend with friends, we searched for a name for the house and arrived at Ku-Castle. Even if we write without "h", then attracted more and more small cows and thus then from Ku Castle, the cow Castle. The house has a living area of 160 sqm on 2 floors (20 sqm are not available). On the ground floor there is the cozy living / dining room with fireplace and the bar, the bathroom, the fully equipped kitchen (electric stove, dishwasher, microwave), guest toilet and a utility room with washing machine. Upstairs is a large bedroom with a double bed (140 x 200) and another sofa bed. From here you get into the second bedroom with a double bed (180 x 200). Outside there is the cozy covered terrace with garden furniture, deck chairs, a beach chair and barbecues. The 620 square meter garden is fully fenced. In the former garden house is the Finnish sauna, in summer, a former garden pond as a mini-pool (no child safety / grid) can be used. On request we provide a travel cot and a high chair available. 2 bicycles are available for free use. Dogs are welcome. For your children we have a lot of games and books. There is a Wii with a selection of games, so that even on rainy days, no boredom. In Kiesby there is a large football field and a playground, within walking distance. And around the campfire in the fire bowl you can roast delicious bread and marshmallows.
