Great location, not worth the price
The hotel is extremely well located and despite the restaurant downstairs, it was quiet. But, the room was extremely small, the furniture was dated, the mattress was too soft and caved-in in the center, and the place was not worth the price at all. Also smells from the restaurant came in through the air shaft in the middle of the building. At 1/2 the price, it would have been absolutely worth it.

The property is located in the heart of Back Bay, across the street from The Boston Library, the hotel is very convenient for restaurants, public transportation and shopping, the employees are extremely helpful, professional and kind, the place is clean, quiet and the bed, even if it wasn’t a double size bed but smaller was very comfortable, but the price of the room was outrageous for its size, the one we had was extremely small , the bed wasn’t even a double bed, the room doesn’t have a closet, the bathroom is also very small, and the TV system is very outdated. Our stay was nice but I can’t get over how much we pay for a very small room.

Not sure why the big name hotel are so expensive and think patrons feel they are 5 star hotels. Will for a middle class people like me, the price, comfort and excellent staff was perfect for me, and I would rate Charlesmark a 5 star place. Seeing the Celtics at Banner 18, with championship rings and great place to enjoy their win, had the best sleep in year. Recommend for anyone.

Safe & clean. Friendly staff.
Very convenient location! Walking distance to many cool sites. Only suggestion is for our room, 101, they should put black-out shades instead of cheap, metal mini blinds on the windows. Also had poor bathroom fixtures with broken handles.
