The tv wasn’t working but I didn’t care because i spent most of time exploring downtown. The stay was very pleasant and the place was very clean. Staff was very friendly.

It’s a good location and inexpensive. Do not go to the restaurant, it’s not run by the hotel. Cafe Landwer’s bar was terrible. It was filthy and the bartender was rude didn’t know how to make an old fashioned. It is on the lobby of the hotel but is not part of the hotel.

I have stayed here before and like this hotel. I do have to say that it is in need of a little facelift, especially the rooms. Depending on where you're located it can be a bit noisy. I could hear every sound from the rooms next door and above me. Pillows need some upgrading. The front desk staff are great! I left my favorite shirt in the closet and called from the airport after I checked out The desk agent (I'm sorry I forgot your name) went to my room and retrieved my shirt and is sending it to me. THAT IS GREAT SERVICE! A BIG THANK YOU!!

Hidden gem

This is a hidden gem in a great area of Boston. It's a little hard to find the first time, but worth it! The rooms are not fancy or spacious, but they are reasonably priced (for Boston), safe, quiet and convenient. You can literally see the finish line for the Boston Marathon from the window! And the beautiful public library is directly across the street. I have stayed here several times before, and I'll definitely be back!

Clean, small, great location

The photos were taken from the same spot. I liked the Charlesmark; it's easy to access from the T, and easy to find. Thr coffee and croissants at breakfast are excellent.
