Beautiful historic property expertly and cheerfully managed by a generous and attentive hostess. The house is in the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, with historic details balanced by all modern comforts --a gem!

This was a wonderful stay. We only wish it could have been longer. We unexpectedly had to arrive much later than intended, but the hostess accommodated us very well for both the late arrival and a late breakfast. This site is fascinating, and it was very comfortable.

Lovely classical antique house
This was a wonderful classical house in a quiet part of Bourges excellent secure parking in the grounds, antique furnishings throughout, and a perfect hostess, who supplied home produce to much of the excellent inclusive breakfast, we loved l' Oustal.

Unique place to stay
This is a lovely place to stay very comfortable the decor is distinctive and the garden ornaments are such good fun and unique. The hostess was very helpful helping us with a reservation for evening meal, the breakfast was very pleasant. Yes we would stay again

Excellent property, great rooms and a lovely breakfast. The host is fantastic and very helpful. Definitely worth a visit to the B&B. You cannot ask for anything more.

L’Oustal Is even more beautiful in real life than it is in the photos. It is very close to the train station. Once inside the lovely hotel, the proprietors are warm, kind, present when you need someone, yet not intrusive. The delicious breakfast was served in the gorgeous dining room with a warm fire. It is a central location: One could explore the countryside by car or Bourges by foot. There was a salon available to guests for coffee and tea, cookies and candies, and books of the local area. I had tea here each evening, and one of the mornings when I had to wait, I was able to stay in the salon with my book. The bed linens were very soft; every aspect of the hotel was extremely clean. I plan to return here once again. L’Oustal will not disappoint!

It absolutely outstanding property! My room was spacious, great mattress, with great attention to detail. Breakfast was served by the very kind and competent owner - gread spread eith artisinal hams, cheeses, preserves, fresh bread and croissants. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Great place to stay in Bourges
L'Oustal is ideally placed for visiting Bourges. It is a short walk to all the sites of interest. The house itself is an interesting 19c villa with beautifully decorated high ceilings. The room was very comfortable with a large double bed. There was a nice bathroom attached although the loo was rather noisy. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The owner was very welcoming and had helpful suggestions on what to see and where to eat at night. There is also a sitting room for guests with free tea coffee and nibbles available 24 hours.
