A nice welcome , all staff very friendly , room but tired and dated but comfortable. Hairdryer , TV , tea and coffee kettle, etc. bathroom shower bit broken. But very noisy, no soundproofing whatsoever. During the night we were woken many times by slamming doors, voices from the corridors and general speaking voices and walking around in the rooms both above and adjacent. Impossible to ignore.

Old hotel in need of urgent renovation
The hotel needs an urgent renovation. The room looked like it hasnt been modified till the 19s. Had a small old tv where the remote wasnt working. Overall the whole building needs an urgent renovation.

Shambles
Was charged extra for breakfast. Bacon was overcooked and the fried egg was rubbery. The coffee machine wasnt working properly and the toast was lost down the back of the grill. Wouldnt stop here again.
This being my 2nd visit, it’s cheap and location is good. I was woken to come downstairs to settle my bill as my 1st night was paid but my 2nd 2 nights were not. Rather than messaging me on my phone number, or email or Expedia or stopping me when I came in hotel ( they had to buzz me in) they chose to come and wake me up and demand I come immediately to pay. The manager was apologetic which did count for something. As a lone traveller it wasn’t nice to have a man come knocking at my door. Really spoilt my stay.

Comfortable stay. Property needs a bit of tlc
Affordable prices amazing surprise of pool sauna too we stayed a extra week!
Definitely recommend.
Booked this hotel for a minibreak at the end of half term with partner and 6 year old. Chose this hotel for its location, swimming pool and that breakfast was included.
This is a typical English seaside hotel which is dated and somewhat unloved.
We loved the swimming pool which little one thoroughly enjoyed. Breakfast was a choice of Full English or some cereals which again was a fair selection.
There is no dinner served as they refurb the kitchen but they didn't mind us having fish and chips in the bar area.
All in all, good hotel for the price paid. Excellent location for easy access to beach as well as town centre.
I found the staff rude, none of them had English as their first language which makes it even more frustrating when there's odd requests like taking down debit card details in case I 'start breaking windows and doors'.
Asbestos warning stickers in corridors are a bit alarming, as is the black mould in the rooms. Carpets are worn out, floorboards creek, the car park is £12, nothing remotely healthy for breakfast aside from possibly a yoghurt. Certainly no fresh juice or fruit or a healthier alternative to butter! There's nothing to recommend this hotel.
Car park is a nightmare if you go when they have party at hotel and because hotel is near to city center it’s very difficult to find parking. The hotel needs refurbishing but still not too bad to stay for 1 or 2 days. Rooms are very hot and there is no thermostat or anything that you could manage temperature. Staff in reception need to train how dealing with customers and be more effective. But if you need to stay just somewhere near beach and just sleep at nights for a middle price hotel it would be okay. Breakfast is okay and you have coffee and kettle in rooms.
It's not a bad hotel just needs a bit of TLC, definitely needs new shower. Maybe not there fault, the massive smell of Green when leaving lift at ground Floor..
we got there, stunk of weed through out hotel, the room was freezing cold, dated and dirty with dirty towels i asked about this they said the heating would be on at 8pm this was 4 pm, the receptionist was very unhelpful and rude, i explained this wasn't good enough, he said he would get a heater, a hour later asked again he said there wasn't any he had given them all out the heating didn't come on whilst we were there.
the jacuzzi was warm, but had broken tiles which i found out when i cut my knee the bar had no lager on tap. will not be staying there again.
