Completely unacceptable conditions in terms of cleanliness. Requested to be moved immediately upon arrival in our room. Got moved and the next room was just as dirty. Stains all over carpet, furniture, debris in bath tub and smears of red substance on bathroom door frame. When requesting a refund, I was told by the clerk (who was sitting on the hotel provided computer, on their personal phone upon arrival- not behind the desk) that there was no manager on site to assist with issuing a refund and during his attempt to contact said manager, no one answered. I went to the desk in the morning asking for a status on the refund, and was told by the manager on site that my request had to be further escalated.
Once the manager got an answer from the “higher up” who goes by the name of Russ, I was told by the female manager that Russ would not be refunding my stay completely, and that he was still going to charge me $45 for the night. She explained his reasoning was that they were “remodeling and replacing the furniture” which was never disclosed or discussed at any point when I originally reserved the room for $175. When I asked for contact information for Russ to get the rest of my money back, I was told that his information was not to be given out. They would not provide a full legal name, email, or phone for this said “Russ.”
I am extremely disappointed in how this situation was handled. This hotel not only lacks in overall cleanliness, but also professionalism.
