About this property

The Stables ~ Peace, Tranquility, Nature, Horses.

Escape to Highlands Centre For Healing, a sanctuary offering equine therapy and wellness retreats. Experience very special, gentle nurturing energy in nature, perfect for unwinding and de-stressing.

Inhale the scent of ancient gum trees as you enter our magnificent 106 acre paradise. Feel calm as you meander the gently winding 550m sealed driveway to The Stables, where Magnet & Ziggy, the resident dogs, will likely greet you.

The accommodation offered is 1 bedroom (queen bed), 1 bathroom, 1 living room in the stables. [+ sofa bed in living room*]. Built in 2017 the rooms have beautiful views to the north, are passive solar heated, very comfortable, clean and insulated. All rooms are separately accessed off the breezeway (please refer floorplan in photos). [*Pricing is for 1 or 2 people using the bedroom. If the sofa bed in the living room is needed there is an additional cost.]

The living room has a wood burner, kitchenette and access out to the herb garden. The kitchenette has a kettle, toaster, electric wok, microwave, single gas ring and fridge/freezer. Instant coffee and a variety of teas are provided; otherwise all food is BYO. There is a TV, although we recommend you immerse yourself in nature and the tranquility on offer and enjoy the country space. Phone reception is patchy.

The bedroom has a queen bed. Bed linen and towels are provided. Also
robes and hairdryer.

We offer therapeutic equine sessions, both for 1:1 and small groups. You may need to share the bathroom with a few clients between 10am-5pm. At night the bathroom is 100% yours. The bedroom and living space is yours all the time. My clients are very aware to respect your privacy and we ask that you respect theirs.

The property runs on standalone solar energy and fresh, filtered rainwater. We ask that you respect the need to be careful with power usage after dark and on overcast days.

The stables are about 330m as the crow flies from the main residence and completely private between dusk and early morning. Activity starts at the stables usually between 7-8am, depending on weather and season.

Your host lives on site and is available much of the time (dependent on client and horse needs).

NOTE: Please respect that we are a non-smoking property.

Eureka Pines is home to two herds of horses, one that offers equine therapy (wellbeing for people) and the second being spellers enjoying their holiday.

You are most welcome to explore the wetland, woodland, adjacent bushland (great for bushwalking). Watch kangaroos hop through the paddocks at dusk, deer are usually present in the very early morning, wombats, lots of birdlife and the occasional turtle and echidna have been spotted on site.

For everyone's safety, please check which paddocks are OK to access on arrival.

It's a beautiful space for artists, writers and those who just want to hole up and recharge in nature.

A lovely property with beautiful healing horses. Just being in their presence and watching them close up brings me joy & peace. Property was clean, comfortable & maintained. Perfect for a weekend (we stayed 3 nights),log fire is perfect on cool nights. 1.5hrs drive from Sydney & scenic for the last 1/2hr. Host Soo is friendly, attentive & knowledgeable. Welcoming committee Ziggy & Magnet are super loving when they meet you. Thank you Soo for making this special place available to all. Looking forward to another stay.

A perfect, tranquil getaway it the country
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - Soo is a welcoming and knowledgeable host and her dogs Ziggy and Magnet are very friendly and always pleased to see you and get some attention. The apartment rooms are spacious and comfy and well equipped and it's great to have the horses all around too. The property has lots of wildlife on it and we enjoyed exploring it. The property is in a fabulous location and well situated for exploring the local area. We went outside on a clear night and saw more stars that we have ever seen before and a shooting star too. Our stay here was magical and if we ever return to Australia we'll be back for another stay!

Serenity.
What a special place this is. The peace & tranquility was felt as soon as we arrived. The serenity also as we sunk into the space and whiled the day away reading or gazing out and across the large paddock (often with horses gently roaming it) towards the huge gum trees. And how special it felt to be living a few days in such close vicinity to these beautiful horses. Thank you so much for having us, Soo. You were so warm & welcoming and were such a great host in terms of communication throughout. Would love to visit again as it was the perfect break away from the city.

A great retreat to get away from it all!
Never done a stable stay actually in the stables! Such a heart-warming experience to see the ponies in the night and horses in the morning! Property had everything we needed, it's minimal but clean and tidy, fireplace was fantastic and bed warm and cosy, WiFi worked well If you need to use it - caretaker Soo was so caring and thoughtful, you could tell she really cared about the property, land and overall stay experience, had a great healing energy - also close enough to Bowral, Berrima or Mossvale that travel was no problem. The rooms are all separate, so you need to go through the stable room at night (have your phone torch handy), but it's no major issue, Soo will give you a short Induction when you arrive because of the animals, we arrived later than expected 8pm but she had no problem being there at that time - Wish Soo all the best with this quaint place, for the money it's well worth it, get away from it all!

A very peaceful weekend getaway
What a hidden gem this place is 😊 the description on the website about the place painted a true picture of the accommodation, right from the beginning of the driveway all the way to the stable where you are greeted by the border collies Magnet & Ziggy at the stable. The lounge/dining room was cozy enough that we didn’t need to light the fire. I thought it was pretty cool that our accommodation was in the stable where the horses stayed. I looked forward to visiting them in the morning on waking and at night before settling down. The bed was comfy and warm and the shower was nice at hot. The host Soo was very friendly and helpful and the love for her horses was clearly evident. I am looking forward to having another opportunity to visit this magical place in the future and I will gladly recommend this venue to family and friends.

Relaxing and refreshing
It was a lovely experience staying at the barn. Very comfortable. We enjoyed the walks in the State Forest just 100m away. It was quiet with lots of birds to greet us with their songs in the morning.
