Outdated, mediocre hotel
The Microtel Bozeman is overpriced for its outdated hotel property. It has old paint, stale carpeting, a poor heating/cooling system, and the bedding smells musty. The hallway door does not close completely, thus failing to block out the noise or light from the hallway. The insulation in the room is also poor, so be prepared to hear every footfall on the stairs, in the hall, and above/below you. The breakfast offered was adequate but contained the bare minimum of choices. The WIFI was particularly bad - I was unable to load emails on either my phone or laptop, much less join a video conference that I had planned to attend.

It’s a nice and clean hotel. We were unhappy about them saying pet friendly online and then finding out when we arrive that they charge $20 per dog per night. My dogs are small and well behaved and non shedding.

The front desk turned on the game in the lobby, so I could watch it on a big screen TV. I sat down there no less than three hours and the staff spent their time cleaning up, vacuuming, cleaning the windows, sweeping outdoors, dusting, wiping off everything, wiping down the tables, the counters, mopping, etc. This location definitely gets high scores on cleanliness. I had originally only booked two days and extended to three more. Very comfortable and safe area for this solo traveler.
