Beware!! Worst experience ever!! After responding to the hurricanes that had hit Florida, my crew of traveling emergency responders desperately needed a place to stay. The booking showed to be available and we booked it. A couple hours after the payment went through, about 2 hours before our 18 hour shift was over, the owner contacted us and said it was not available, that they had the boats parked elsewhere but they were willing to tow them into their usual location if we could wait. She told us it would be available around 8 pm. She continued to contact us and push back the time. We were exhausted and needed a place to rest so we agreed. Next, she told us that we would have to take a John Boat from an undisclosed location and pay $25 per person to get to the booking, and $25 per person in the morning to get back to the parking lot. She then told us we should cancel and find another place because it would not be available until late. Everything else was booked within a 50 mile radius, and we had to start the next shift in 5 hours. After that she proceeded to text and ask how much money we make at work, and asked if when we got off work if we could help her clean up her personal property. We decided to attempt to cancel, which was not possible due to Expedia’s 24 hour cancellation policy. We did not go, and put a stop payment on the credit card used to book the listing. Expedia turned around and handed my information to a collection agency for the deposit.
