We did not stay at the Oak Ridge lodge! The room that was assigned to us had a horrible odor in it! It smelt like a stale greasy gas station! We called the front desk to ask for a different room. The young lady that was at the front desk had just worked a double shift and was only an employee there for a week. She was unable to figure it out in a short time, so we went to the lobby. She had a lot of trouble trying to figure out the computer system, so called A co-worker for assistance. She still was unable to access the system to find us a different room. She then asked if we could stay around 30 minutes longer until the next shift started so they could assist us. At this time we chose to go find another place to stay.
Since leaving the establishment, we called and asked for a refund through hotels.com right and they reached out to you the Oak Ridge Lodge which refused to reimburse us for our stay. They stated it was due to the fact that it did not follow their cancellation policy. We did not cancel, we were not given any customer service to find accommodations that were suitable! We showed up, checked in, and we're not given a room that we were willing to stay in.
