Waterfront Home, Solarium & Hot Tub, Kayaks, Close to Seattle and Olympic Mtns

Come visit our spacious, 1920's, 2-story, 3-bedroom, log home filled with classic features, as well as a second, two-story Guest House with 2-upstairs bedrooms and main floor for billiards, ping pong and large screen TV. Note that the base price is for 8-guests and includes both buildings. Additional guests have a nightly fee as detailed in the rates section.
Bring your boat and anchor in Dyes Inlet. In the Summer swim out to a floating, inflatable raft tied to another buoy and hang out. Go paddling on the bay in one of the four kayaks (PFDs and paddles provided). The large solarium is great for serving meals or relaxing. There are three dining tables with easy access to the large kitchen that will allow for groups to enjoy meals together. A huge Weber BBQ will add to your cooking experience. Relax in the Apollo hot tub or on the waterfront patio, both with west facing views of the bay. We have added a second patio with a fireplace for you use. Send the kids to the big sports room to hang out. Play croquet in the yard. Easy access to the beach is provided by a grass ramp. In Summer/Fall go to the orchard to pick plums, apples, pear-apples, pears and grapes. Kayak in the bay.
The main house has three spacious, upstairs bedrooms with four queen beds, a futon and room for cribs. Each room has a comfy chair looking out on the water for personal reading time. The second building (the Guest House) has two upstairs bedrooms with one room having a queen bed and the second room having two queen beds and a sectional couch. The entrance to the second building is about 100 feet from the front door of the main house. Enjoy wifi and satellite TV in both buildings.
Note that the fireplaces are NOT available to be used.
The main house TV and Vizio sound system allow you to connect your phone via bluetooth to play your music. Wireless internet and Direct TV will take care of your connection and media needs. The living room is the show piece of the house and will be a great place to spend time.
The main house has a 3/4 bath downstairs and a full bath upstairs. The full bath has a claw foot tub to relax in with a hand held shower, head rest pillow and teak reading tray making for a nice soaking experience. The second building has a full bath downstairs.
Erlands Point is ten minutes from the Bremerton Ferry terminal, Traders Joes, Costco and Safeway. There are great golf courses in the area and easy access to Hood Canal and the Olympic Mountains. Take the car ferry or faster, foot ferry to Seattle in under an hour. Gig Harbor, Poulsbo, Bainbridge Island and Pt. Townsend are all less than an hour away.
After enjoying 12-years of sharing our first waterfront rental in nearby Allyn (#108511) we decided to open this fun property for others to enjoy.
FYI the driveway is shared by another home. Plenty of paved parking is available.

Note: The daily rate is for a maximum of 8-guests. A $30 fee/day applies to each additional guest up to the maximum of 14.

We loved the property! While we were there it was stormy, which although we would have loved sunshine, sitting in the solarium with the hard rain, looking out at the water, was amazing! We will definitely tell others about this property!

Perfect Friendsgiving Stay
Dave was easy to communicate with, even at the last minute. A huge thanks to Dave for accommodating a last minute ask for friends who had lost power after a recent severe storm in the PNW. Space is perfect for large group of friends and family. Great location not far from Seattle, making travel easy for all. We loved the water views and kayaks!

Comfortable older house on quiet inlet
Four families (14 total adults and teens) stayed here Labor Day weekend 2024. The older main house is large and comfortable. The electrical system is a mix of ages though. I think the kitchen only had one outlet for a 3-prong plug. The main house has three big tables plus a fourth small table. We had a jigsaw puzzle on the small table and board games running on the other tables. It's unusual to have that much space in a vacation rental. The guest house is a converted garage. You'll need to walk through the first bedroom to get to the second bedroom. The inlet on Puget Sound is quiet. Watching the morning wildlife (otters, seals, and birds) and paddling around in the kayaks was fun.

Great mini-getaway
This was a fun little getaway for our Woodinville family. We kayaked and hot tubbed, every day. The weather pranked us, instead of being the usual hot August, we got a cool drizzly spell, but the solarium is where we hung out, because it was still toasty, even with the cool weather. We also brought our smaller dogs, who enjoyed the fully fenced yard. It reminded us of my grandparents’ cabin back in MN. We had a great time!

Great place for family fun!
We had a wonderful time with our adult children and their girlfriends/spouses. The place was clean and the kitchen well stocked! The house is "rustic" and we would joke that it was a step up from Boy Scout camp. We loved the old house and appreciated the newer building too! This is a great place for a laid back family gathering. Not fancy or new but definitely charming and quirky. The solarium was great for dinner and games. We would definitely come back again!

Updating
It was a nice property and good stay, however all beds need new mattresses, hot tub only half jets work, toilet in main floor is very loose, sumo alarm goes off a lot even though only dishwasher was running, never had showers while there. Guest house has no dishes and can’t use dishwasher there. Air conditioner is only available in two rooms in main house. Lots of signs and rules all over, was kind of funny! Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Great all around
We stayed here for our big family vacation. Two parents in their 50s, a bunch of 20 somethings, and two small children. The house is very old and funky, but we liked its character. The view out the back and the ability to do different things (kayak, paddleboard, firepit, hot tub, walk around) was great. We chose this area because it was reasonably close to Seattle by ferry, Mount Rainier, and Olympic National Park. Owner Dave is top-notch. Timely communication all throughout the trip and even came to the property to help with an issue. Highly recommend.

Puget Sound Relaxation
Had a great reunion with friends at this group friendly property. Lots of great gathering places in the main house, the game room, and the sunroom. Plenty of spaces for quiet reflection, reading, or a cup of coffee as you watched the wildlife all about. Our group enjoyed the outdoor fire pit the most as we re connected each night over a beverage. Excellent and responsive owner/host who replied to inquiries promptly and gave us good advice for catching the ferry into Seattle. Nice stay for us!

Gorgeous Views and lots of space!
We had so much fun staying here! We spent a lot of time looking at wildlife out on the water. The hot tub was broken for most of our stay which sucked because sitting in the tub looking out at the view was incredible! If you are planning on doing any cooking maybe think about bringing things you REALLY need like a sharp knife or a spatula. They had almost everything but have just seen a lot of love (: Kayaks and paddle board were great! Sitting in the solarium was so peaceful! We would def come back

House has character
Overall the houses and property are nice. The main house is quite old and has some quirks. Door latches don't latch well. Difficult figuring out the light switches etc. Only shower in main house is downstairs, and takes at least 3 minutes to get hot water. Also desperatly needs a good cleaning. Also the toilet rocks back when you sit on it. Great view of the bay, and access to the water. Plenty of parking. Some bushes on one side of the driveway have grown about a third of the way out into the driveway, so you can't avoid having then hit the side of your vehicle as you drive past.

Rustic waterfront getaway
This rustic log home was a charming delight! Plenty of room for everyone with the added guest quarters. Multiple dining tables and meeting options. The grounds were beautiful with freshly mowed grass and easy access to the waterfront. Kayaks and paddle board at the ready. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and would rent again, with one condition. One of the draws to this home was the hot tub. It’s beautiful! You can sit in it and enjoy the open view of Puget Sound. Except that it was sandy and hadn’t had the appropriate chemical treatment. It was so musty and mildew smelling! Only one of our members got in, immediately got out and needed to shower. All of us could smell the mildew on her wet body in the house. If the owners would keep it treated and free from sand, this would be 5 starts all around!!

Spacious log home on the beach
This charming log home and bonus huge bedroom and playroom accommodated our three kids & grandkids comfortably. We wisely hedged our weather bet by ensuring indoor options, but happily had two good days that satisfied our hopes for hot tubbing, beachcombing and kayaking (3 and a rowboat came with the property). Seals, bald eagles and shifting tides balanced convenient urban entertainment. Appliances and mattresses were all new, TV and internet were excellent when we weren't kayaking or enjoying the atrium, playing pool, ping pong, playing cards or enjoying an evening before an outdoor fire. The owners were responsive and flexible, and everything was kept up and well signed. One of our best for a large family!

Beautiful Cabin, loved the solarium!
We had a great time with family and friends for a four-night stay. Plenty of beds/bedrooms and a very comfortable house. We especially loved the solarium, it rained a lot while we were there and it was so nice to sit in there doing puzzles or playing games and hearing the rain! We weren't able to use any of the kayaks due to the weather, but we did see some cool birds, ducks and a few seals also! Hot tub was in superb condition and we loved roasting marshmallows for the one night it didn't rain:) Dave, the host was super communicative and it was a super quick and easy drive from Seattle.

Fantastic Property to Celebrate Family
First impression is the spacious inside where there was room to accommodate everyone comfortably. The house was clean, well stocked, great attention to detail, fabulous views and perfect in every way. It was a perfect place to sit back and relax. We did all our own cooking and found all we needed was provided. It was also easy access to the ferry and Seattle for out of owners who wanted to do a bit of sightseeing. Christmas getaway
My family spent Christmas here and it was ny nephews first Christmas! We had a wonderful time and there was enough space for everyone (8 adults, 1 baby, 1 dog) wothoutit feeling cramped. There were 3 tables which made doing a puzzle easy without having to clean up/move and the hot tub was wonderful! A few cleanliness issue (rat traps, ants) but the pros outweighed the cons. Unfortunately the hdmi ports had been damaged by previous guests so we were cautious about plugging in our items but gave us more family time to play board games. The host was wonderful and everyone loved their stay a remarkable view. Thanks Dave for making this possible!
