Winter Weekend
I like the hotel, always clean and friendly staff. Convenient for station and station car park. Food and drink is overpriced compared to other hotels and bars in Brighton, especially the spirits. So definitely one of those where you're better grabbing your own food and drink

Loved the lounge decor, great interior design. Very relaxed atmosphere. Enjoyed sitting there instead of being in room. And for once the drinks weren’t over priced . Which is a put off.

Leonardo’s city centre is excellent. Staff are extremely helpful and go out of way to make stay good. Much better than Waterfront where found cleaning staff aggressive and rude.

only one night which was fine. The only things that let it down was that the beer was off - but they did excheange it - and it was really cold in reception so put us off staying for dinner

Comfortable stay
Room was comfortable although the bathroom was a slightly older style. The bathroom floor can be very slippery when wet (steamy after a shower), so make sure to use the rubber mat or lay down a towel.

Conveniently situated near station and easy walk into town. Reception staff especially Mihal really lovely but… Our room was boiling! Asked for a quiet room with window that opened but could hear a lot of traffic noise at night. With window w closed and heating off it was uncomfortably hot. Neither of us got much sleep for 2 nights. It was difficult to get wet under the shower!

Good but needs more focus on the details
Hotel is clean and very well located for the station. Rooms are a good size. Pricing was competitive. But for 4 star status I'd expect more attention to detail. There should be bottled water in the rooms (this can be done sustainably), quality toiletries including body lotion (not from dispensers that barely work), better quality fresh ingredients at breakfast, some element of table service, key cards that worked on the lifts... added to which the extractor fan was constantly on and the bedroom phone didn't work. In summary, on this experience it was Premier Inn standard. And I think Premier Inn is ok! But it should be aiming a bit higher.

Room was very nice. Check in and check out quick and friendly. Breakfast service was very poor. Barely any cooked food available on either station. When I asked if more would be coming was told “probably”. Not helpful. Stood and waited and what was brought out was already available. Why bring more of that when so many other dishes are empty? Many dirty tables. No clean tea spoons at one of the coffee machines. Everything too packed together so everyone was getting in each other’s way and reaching around and past each other. Several pastry racks empty. Jars of jam at the bread counter all empty. Very poor experience
