Cute home
We enjoyed our two night stay. We have a 12 year tradition of meeting our friends in Abingdon to see a play at the Barter Theater and enjoyed staying at the house vs a hotel. We will be back next year!!!

Lovely property!
We enjoyed this property during our weekend getaway! The hosts were communicative and helpful, it was clean and comfortable, and we loved the convenient location in walking distance of restaurants and shops. I agree with other reviews that a few privacy shades in the main room would be much appreciated by guests, but overall we highly recommend this property, and we look forward to staying here again in the future!

Dirty Cottage
Dirty (cobwebs everywhere) No window treatment in main part of cottage. Closets cluttered with “stuff. Kitchen cupboards cluttered with “stuff”. No bedside tables or lamps. No chest of drawers in bedrooms (no where to unpack clothes). Stove top dirty. No drinking glasses(only two plastic glasses) Only two of four a/c heaters worked…very cold at night and mornings

Great 39th Anniversary Trip
My wife and I are considering moving to SW Virginia and have spent increasingly more time there. We loved the location of the Blue House as well as the house itself. Tastefully and thoughtfully decorated, open and spacious. Abbey and Ron have done a fantastic job on the house and are gracious hosts. Check in and check out were simpler than any hotel. It made for a perfect launch pad for us to hike several times in the area as well as ride the Creeper Trail. A block off the main street, quiet but incredibly convenient to restaurants and shopping. You will love it!

Cute little house
It was a cute clean little house. Conveniently located to downtown. The driveway was very narrow and the trees needed to be trimmed, but we also had a big truck. There was plenty of seating but no table to eat at and could use a couple bar stools. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and the appliances were very nice. Check in and check out were super easy. I would stay again.

Quick stop in Abingdon
This property is well-maintained, and close to the historic section of Abingdon. Wall mounted temperature control units operate efficiently and quietly. Kitchen is well-stocked with prep and cooking tools. Fridge has through the door H2O and ice. Fun decor, TV has several streaming platforms, lots of nightlights are a nice touch. Easy access to Virginia Creeper Trail for cyclists and walkers. Also would be a good place for Bristol Motor Speedway fans to stay - just 25 min trip to the race and an alternative to the congestion and sold out hotels on race weekend. Nice assortment of retail shops in area from antiques to olive oil to boutiques. Historical sites and an active theater downtown. Recommended restaurants - Rain, 128 Pecan, Gilous Cafe and Girl & The Raven.

Anniversary Trip
We absolutely loved our stay here, it was so cozy and open. The weather was beautiful, we walked everywhere up and down Main Street, the home is right across the street from Girl and the Raven which was an amazing breakfast spot and right behind there is the Sweetbay brewery which had great music and awesome beer! The home is in the perfect spot where it’s close but still private!

Clean, excellent communication with host, comfortable beds, hot showers, and the house is right off the Main Street so all the cafes and restaurants are just a short walk away. Would absolutely stay here again next time I’m visiting Abingdon.

Fantastic stay!
We loved this house! Cute with a boho vibe, super convenient right in town, spotless and great hosts that were just a text/phone call away! We wanted a home that we could catch up with old friends without worrying about neighbors but in the middle of everything. Enjoyed morning coffee on the back porch each morning. Check out wasn’t until 1:00 so we didn’t have to rush. Would definitely stay again!
