Key issues
While the cabin is charming the owner/host is the worst at communication. The electronic lock system failed and I was locked out for nearly 6 hours while a cold front came through. The owner didn’t respond within an hour so I called Vrbo, they were unable to reach the owner. After three hours, I contacted Vrbo again. While their customer service reps were very polite, they had no solution. I ended up using a local lock smith. Shortly after, a housekeeper arrived, apologized profusely that she was stuck alone at another cabin cleaning miles away. She provided me with a physical key since neither the locksmith, her or myself could repair the lock system.
There are other multiple maintenance issues in the cabin. Half the light switches don’t work so if you like being in the dark, this is the cabin for you.
The right side of the bed is held up with landscaping brick and the left side looks precarious. The fridge shelf is missing. Bring all the supplies you need such as dish soap, TP and extra towels.
So beware, you may get permanently locked out, the bed may break and you need candles.
The owner won’t care.
However, the bathroom, tub, fridge, stove/oven, microwave and floors are super clean. Yet, this owner tried to throw her cleaning crew under the bus for the delay of response. Perhaps the owner should have a management/maintenance crew available for maintenance issues that a cleaning crew can’t assist with.
