Cancelled my reservation for "overbooking". I gave them 2nd chance and they did it again. They bump reservations for people coming to desk and paying cash for rooms.
Arrived with a copy of my confirmed reservation at approximately 7:00 to 7:30pm. Fully paid for at the time of our online reservation, which I had a copy with me. I was denied the room. I was told it was cancelled. NOT TRUE. My husband and I are of a certain age. We had just driven 550 miles that day. We just wanted a bed, before we completed our 1160 mile trip the next day.
I arrived on location to check-in ~ Was told by property manager that my reservation had been canceled. I never received any kind of noticed that my reservation was canceled from hotels.com or anyone. My booking was still showing my reservation was still active on the app. I was supposed to pay upon arrival in the amt of $188 for 2 night stay. Instead the property manager stated my reservation had been canceled,but they could still accommodate me with another room,but i was charged $265 for the accommodation. The room was filthy! TV didnt work,and there were items left in shower. Broom and dusk pan was also left in room. Refrigerator not work..dusty furniture along with a film of some sort on windows and glass.
They acknowledged I had a confirmed reservation through Expedia, but when I arrived at 7:00 PM they said there were no rooms available and that my reservation had been canceled that morning because they “didn’t have any rooms” and that they couldn’t contact me because they don’t get contact info from Expedia. Terrible, terrible, terrible, didn’t even apologize - don’t trust- stay away from this place!!!
Got to the property to be told my booking was supposedly canceled but there was nothing on my end through Expedia, and I had already paid with no refund either. The guy that the front desk said he had no rooms and my reservation was canceled and I should have my money back. But then I showed him it wasn’t canceled on my side.. he then proceeds to tell me he can show me one room he has and walks me to the room. It’s the exact room that I had booked, yet I was supposedly canceled.. the property only had this one room on the property that had a jacuzzi tub in the room.. he then says I could have this room but it would be $145 cash. I said why do I need to pay cash when this is the room I booked and I paid only $116 for it. He said 145 cash because my listing is canceled and their card machines and everything is apparently broke… I contacted Expedia to let them know what was going on and got my refund. Seeing as I was 5 hrs from home and all other hotels were actually booked I talked the guy down on the room and paid cash, but not until I made sure I got my refund from initial payment… the room was gross and dirty, exposed wires from lighting above the sink, the jacuzzi had the controls ripped out of it so it didn’t work. Their pool was now a concrete slab, two of the 3 lights in the room didn’t work. It reaked of cigarette smoke even though it was a non smoking room. Just awful.. place is super shady and just gross! Will never stay here again
We booked the motel a month in advance.
four days before checking in I received an email confirmation from the motel and a "how's your trip going" email from Hotels.com. The day before our stay I was texted about a refund with no explanation. When we arrived at the motel I was told our reservation was cancelled because they had weekly reservations and no rooms were left for us. The day after our supposed stay I received an email asking about our stay! After seeing what the property looked like, I am almost they cancelled. The motel looks like it is geared mostly for weekly construction workers. Rebooking another motel at the last minute cost me more.

Customer service was great .. my room was clean. But there was a gap in the door where light was coming in. Commode needed cleaning inside and out. Walls need paint. There was dust all over the air conditioner vents. I wiped part of the down by the bathroom sink. Shower curtain needs to be changed. Also my room was suppose to be non-smoking. There was an ashtray with cigarette residue in it.
I was told i could get a different room because i was coming into early. Was not informed that I would have to pay extra for this. The front desk was training someone when i arrived. She informed me of the extra charge I paid it. They took my drivers license to make a copy and never returned it to me. I did not realuze this until i was getting ready to go get something to eat and inform the front desk that i had just killed several roaches. The gentleman at the front desk said he was sorry never once mentioned trying to comoensate me for this. But she added it to bill. I know this because when i looked at my booking site it was 10 dollars more. I paid this fee at the hotel. The room was not clean. Sheets had marking on them and there was hair on the floor. Once again I killed several roaches in the room was not compensated for this. There were no other rooms they could put me in for this inconvenience. Poor management unclean and unsanitary rooms. I will never stay at this establishment again. Nor will recommend it to anyone else. Im still having to pay for a room not suitable to sleep in. Would have went somewhere else but did not have the funds. Wish i had taken photos. Rm # 110
The places advertising your hotel should have updated pictures, Mention Construction. Pool non existant as its been slabbed over with concrete?
Also i selected and requested a non smoking room and the decorative blanket had burn holes... and an ash tray? Not All the lights work. Jacuzzi in room, some jets need fixing. Hair in the bed, and a sheet for a blanket... Small tv for a suite i was too tired to do a thorough lookthru.
Only positive thing were the minor interaction with staff, they seemed nice. And the walls seemed pretty soundproof.
Although the property was undergoing renovations, this pales in comparison to the benefits that I enjoyed during my stay. You see, I grew up in Ripley, and trips home are bittersweet because my parents have gone home to be with the LORD
The whole room was dirty with stains all over the walls. The bathroom was dirty and the shower was not clean. Hair and dust in the bed sheets will not stay again. For the price there are way better options.
The towels were stained, one of the workers used our toilet and left sketch marks. The entire place was under renovation, outside and inside which we did not learn until we pulled into parking lot. Will never return!!
