This property was under renovation and that should have been told. You book a couple of days to rest and relax and you get a dirty room with filthy upholstery and key cards that don’t work etc etc etc. They say they serve breakfast but it is a waffle machine and orange juice. Horrible experience.

A hotel in the right location!
Loved the place and location. Close to the pier, beach, & lighthouse. Employees were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again, however I'd bring my own pillow. I didn't like theirs as they were too full/thick.(Don't like pillows too flat either)

The blonde lady at check in was very rude when I asked if it was possible to check in early. She made it sound as though it was unheard of to check in early. We got there at 2:30 and check in was at 4pm. Was not impressed by the service at all. A different woman charged my card twice. Poor service!!!!

Loved this place
This was a great old charm kind of place. Right across from the lighthouse and by the pier. Plenty of shops and great restaurants all in walking distance. The 2 4stars is only bc they are under renovations. Staff was very friendly. The breakfast was meh but thats ok because 3 Little Birds is right down the road and they had a spectacular breakfast. I will be back after the renovations are done.

Wonderful property but in my reading i never saw 'under construction' anywhere. Drywall work going on. Certainly had an effect on stay. Have traveled much and seen different approaches on remodeling or repair. First be upfront about work going on. Dont want to find out with a sign upon checkin. Second do not charge your going rates for staying in these conditions. Third we chose not to have our room cleaned while there and were denied fresh towels by house keeping. This was our first trip to SSI. Will definately be back to the island again!
