The Federal is a very nice boutique hotel in Brunswick. The staff was friendly and the facilities were well maintained and beautifully decorated for the Christmas season. I'm already looking forward to our next stay there.

We booked our stay at The Federal just because it looked nice and seemed like a good price. What we discovered was a wonderful and chic hotel with an extremely comfortable room in a completely remodeled hotel. We’ll definitely stay at The Federal again.

The Federal is a beautiful boutique hotel! The room was spacious and clean. The fixtures in the room were lovely and well maintained. The hotel is walking distance to downtown Brunswick and Bowdoin College! A great find in a fun college town!

Great find in Brunswick
Great find in Brunswick with a lot of charm and nice clean rooms. Excellent location of Main Street within walking distance of almost everything. The hotel seems to have a great restaurant in 555 North, but unfortunately the restaurant is only open for dinner after 5:00. It is a shame as the one thing that is missing from the hotel is a proper breakfast in the morning. Unfortunately the central heating in our room wasn't working, something that must have been like that for a while and they were using a portable AC/Heating Unit for climate control that was quite loud when on high which is what you need to have it at to properly heat the room.

The Federal is within a 5 minute walking distance to Maine St. in Brunswick. The hotel is beautiful, clean and very peaceful. Would definitely recommend and will plan to stay there again!
