I initially booked the property for my stay at the University of Michigan. I later found out that I have to change the day I am staying. I called the hotel and they confirmed the dates have been changed. Just before my stay, I checked the itinerary and was showing the incorrect date. I called the hotel and they forwarded me to their call center. The supervisor told me there was no way they would have changed it. They would not refund it or update the reservation. I inquired about why they would they would tell us they updated when they haven't. The supervisor said there was no way for them to do that and they had no way to check phone logs, who access our reservation during our phone call or any system of checks and balances.
We decided we werent going to win this fight, so we opted to pay for the hotel for two nights and only use one. The manager Kita was helpful and stated she would allow us to check in a different date (initially we were told if we dont show up on the date of our reservation, it would be canceled)
We came into the hotel around 8:20am, after walking around, looking for the reception, we called the hotel and transferred us to a call center who said they would check if there is a reception desk at this location. She confirmed there is but it is not staffed until 9am.
After our wait, we finally checked in. The rooms were in poor condition, including stains on the carpet, doors missing off of cabinets, toilet paper holders broken off and BUGS! Big bugs!
