All three of the homes on our property are hidden in the forest - but conveniently located with quick access to adventure and shopping - 10 minutes from the quaint mountain town of Bryson City. Our website has additional information about activities in the area.
The Hideout is a treetop retreat that looks out over the rest of Hideaway Point. The best view on the property is from the hot tub at this home. We named this home as a nod to the charms of childhood in the 1980’s - when everyone had a secret hideout of their own.

Our hospitable groundskeeper Sarah lives at Hideaway Point with her two (well behaved) labradors and an assortment of interesting aquarium pets. Sarah's apartment is attached to the Holiday House (next door to the Hostel - see aerial map). She is a wonderful resource in our Bryson City community - a curious learner, who loves the outdoors and education in experiential contexts. Sarah is available here. We are thankful for the value she adds to our Hideaway Point team.
The Hideout is one of three homes that are nicely spaced out on the Hideaway Point property (see photos at the end of the listing photos). We have a (gradual slope) gravel road with easy access during the winter. Lots of parking (see photos).
** Important note ** there is a short walk on a gravel path through the trees to the front door. We think this feature adds a lot of charm to the house, but it is important to note for accessibility.
The Hideout (like all of the kitchens at Hideaway Point) is well stocked with tools you will need to prepare almost any meal. None of our Hideaway Point kitchens are stocked with baking needs, condiments, oils or spices.
All of our bathrooms have shampoo, conditioner & body soap dispensers. We are a proud supporter of eco-friendly brand “who gives a crap” toilet paper.
Cell service can be spotty depending on your provider. Verizon works well. Googl GPS is accurate while WAZE often leads guests to the wrong address.
