Picturesque & tranquil
If you love the peace & quiet, surrounded by nature, this is the place for you. We loved exploring the lake bed, seeing turtles basking in the sun, osprey, flycatchers and many more birds, all visible from the comfort of the hot tub. Don was very helpful and let us use his golf buggy for more exploration around the lake too. Lots of great local days out like the Canyon of Eagles Observatory, Longhorn Cavern & Fredericksburg. The property is starting to show its age but the included facilities (hot tub, large HDTV with streaming apps, fire pit table, outdoor BBQ etc) and location are fantastic.

Bluebonnet Bliss
We stayed here with another couple to watch the eclipse. On site management was very helpful and responsive. The place was very clean and well-equipped. The setting is beautiful with an ocean of bluebonnets and herds of deer running by.

Great Place
Great place to be. The lake was low and not swimmable but the property has a spa which was a blessing. We enjoyed our stay. We cooked on the grill, chilled out on the deck and in the spa (didn't turn on the heat, only the bubbles) and listening to our music. I would stay here again. Nice little getaway spot.

Lake getaway
Very well kept up, access to music & movie apps very accomidating. The trailer where we stayed had full supply of emenities to use (except food), even a propane BBQ pit to grill outside. Pet friendly enviroment with the access to the lake, just a little walk behind trailer. As soon as we pulled up we were greeted and introduced to the place & surroundings. We had rented out another trailer with a hottub but the trailer had a water leak, so the owner called us with plenty of notice and offered us an updated trailer with access to a Pontoon Boat. Everyone was so friendly and helpful plus the water was so nice to swim in, not too cold or hot. It was a definate change of scenery for us and the Pontoon Boat was a great experience for us. If you ever need a place to go with great people and water access, this is a must!! Its totally affordable & you can bring your own Boat & supplies. We definitely will be returning for another stay or two!!!!

Pleasant rural get-away
I enjoyed this stay greatly for it's location and amenities. It is technically water-front for boating and playing in the lake and the stay was comfortable. I enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor seating. The neighborhood of RVs, mobile homes, and campers was very friendly and quiet even on a holiday weekend. Unfortunately the water level was very low and we could see that the lake used to be right up to the property with a boat ramp in front but the low level meant that getting a boat in and out was difficult on the natural granite and mud. I realize that the owner has no control over the water level. The exposed lake bed does have beautiful flora coming in for walks and exploring, and there was a lot of carp fishing all along the edge. My guests didn't enjoy the amount of spiders and webs around the exterior and some inside the cabinets. The owner can improve this with some pest control and better cleaning before the next rental. The hot tub had a little technical issue but the owner was quick to respond and repair that so we could use it that day. Overall it was an enjoyable stay.
