My 3 night stay at Carlton Buda Castle was simply amazing. The staff were professional, helpful and available even during my 3:15am late check-in. Everything in my room was of exceptional quality, the twin single beds were very comfortable and clean as well as the en-suite which was modern, spacious and extremely well-maintained. My cleaner was lovely and kept my room spotless throughout my stay whilst remaining respectful of my personal items. To top off my experience, the breakfast buffet was incredible value for money, featuring a delicious range of European breakfast classics, pastries, fruits and vegetables. My personal favourites were the Austrian grilled sausage, roasted vegetables, gorgeous crispy bacon and scrambled eggs which were all perfectly seasoned and cooked to a very high quality. Breakfast is available from 7am-11am and the catering staff worked extremely hard around and during these times both in the kitchen and the dining area to prepare the delicious buffet and provide an excellent standard of hospitality. They take real pride in the incredible service they deliver at Carlton Buda Castle and I cannot recommend this hotel enough. A massive thank you is due to all the staff for the most incredible experience in the most incredible city.

The Carlton Hotel Buda Castle is very well located with a short walk across the bridge to the Pest and up the hill to Buda Castle. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay at this property again.

Only complaint was the noise coming from surrounding rooms and the balcony’s being used until 3/4am, had to complain on one occasion, other than that a really good stay!

Very basic and dated, not the best.
Very basic, hotel is above a car garage so you can smell fumes and noises in the morning. Furniture and decor is very dated. Service was good though.

My stay was absolutely wonderful the people at this hotel helped me navigate the loss of my passport the night of my arrival . Thanks to assistance and all our efforts put together my passport was returned in less than 24 hrs. They offered me water , food, tea in the meantime. They showed soo much compassion and support and that I take in my heart . The hotel is beautiful the breakfast is delicious and lacks nothing . It is a few steps from Buda castle and the chain bridge. I walked EVERYWHERE and found this hotel perfect and the staff is superb . The bed, pillows and Linens very clean and house keeping provided daily. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Budapest . I was traveling alone and also felt very safe in the area where the hotel is .

If you reserved a less expensive room or assigned to a "-1" floor room, try to change it. You will not be able to sleep from 5:00 AM-11:00AM The kitchen and dinning room right above will make lots of noise. After two days, we could not take it. The staff is kind enough to change our room to third floor.

Great location close to Chain Bridge and Buda Castle, plenty of restaurants nearby. Comfortable, quiet room and excellent breakfast selection. They still have those “poop on a shelf” style toilets though.
