‘Fading grandeur’ is taken too far by this hotel, with its chipped crockery, damaged lavatory seat and dingy breakfast room. But it is very central for exploring BA and the staff are very helpful.

Super ;location and staff.
Our favorite BA hotel. Great location and super friendly and helpful desk. Breakfast can be given a miss,however. Elevators function but are probably ready for an upgrade.

The location is excellent. It is near a prominent landmark with easy transport links. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful. My room was clean, quiet and comfortable. It was so convenient that I am returning after a few days away.

First time here, amazing experience!! Perfect location, across from the obelisc, the two main downtown arteries, theatres, restaurants, subway at your doorsteps, money exchange, shopping, etc. The property is very well kept, bathrooms look like new, beds are very comfortable, the staff goes above and beyond to help you in any way. This will be our hotel of choice when in Buenos Aires.

Very nice hotel in a good area.
We got a room away from the street which we really liked. Two small closets to keep clothes in. The only complaint was that we had to ask for ice every night. I really liked the big bathroom & the decor in rooms and halls. EL Carbon is a restaurant across the big street & down a little ways on the street that is lit up & doesn’t allow cars. The prices are incredible inexpensive & the meals are wonderful.

Nice hotel near Obelisco. Extremely recommended if local public transportation is going to be use. Staff was kind and often called us to know if there was something we could need. Breakfast was good.

Everything was fantastic, until...
This hotel is in perfect location, safe neighborhood, easy tra ns out options. Staff was wonderful-what you would expect from a good boutique hotel. Facility was old, well-kept, well-built; it had an historic aura. Our room was smallish but very adequate, well appointed, clean, especially for the price and location. Then I sat on the bed. The mattress was the worst I have ever experienced, worse than a Motel 6 reject; way out of place for such a nice hotel. But for the mattress we would without question stay there again; as it was we would have gone somewhere else if we were staying another night. I feel a bit guilty writing this, but fellow adventurers should be warned.

Very Good location& friendly staff.
The hotel is at fantastic location, walking distance to many attractions. The front desk people are friendly and helpful. But the hotel is quite old aged, the room is small and the carpet & curtains are dirty, the bathroom is ok but the shower water is powerful. The break is simple and no much to choose. If you need a quiet sleep, don’t choose the one facing to the street.
