Generally nice but service standards did not match Marriot. On arrival greeted nicely by the chap. We felt staff were not always friendly. The room seemed small and on arrival AC was stuck on 29 degrees and would not budge below 26 degrees even when set. A double room but sadly the quilt was the wrong size, which seemed strange for a hotel in this class. Breakfast was ok but the table lacked spoons and napkins and we always had to ask. On our last night we arrived back and our room had not been cleaned and were were told that we had left DND according to the housekeeping team and we had to show them photos that we had in fact turned on clean the room sign but they had failed to clean our room. At 10pm we had to wait in the lobby for the room to be cleaned, totally unacceptable and even then the shower gel was not refilled and cleaning product left. Yet no one apologised. Same evening the internet went down on our floor when we asked if there was an issue they seem to assume we didn’t know how to log on though had been there for two days. Bizarrely how could we log on if we could not see the network which was intermittently invisible. They tried to help at midnight by knocking on our door to no avail. I asked to look into it and report it for the morning but it seems this did not happen. The next morning for breakfast we mentioned it again and the lady at the desk informed us that other guests had raised the issue too and she would speak with the IT manager. Disappointed.
