Spinner's Cottage - Pet friendly in Burford
This enchanting Cotswold stone cottage is a hidden gem, tucked away on the edge of Burford's lively centre. Dating back to the 1500s it is full of characterful original features making a quaint getaway in one of England's most picturesque towns.
Inside, the cottage combines a blend of old-world charm with modern comfort. Cook up a feast of local produce in the traditional kitchen to be enjoyed together before gathering fireside. At the end of the day each bedroom is a cosy retreat with one offering lovely church views. In the master suite on the top floor, you rest beneath wooden beams before spending another day exploring this glorious part of the Cotswolds. With its handy en-suite this bedroom is a snug hideaway.
Cherish time spent in the garden, a floral hideaway which is a hard thing to find in the middle of Burford. Sitting behind these historic worker's cottages, the gardens have a higgledy piggledy nature which embraced a sense of community meaning you may see your neighbours passing by. It is a delightful spot for a BBQ or just to sit and soak up the peaceful surroundings. Beyond the garden you can explore the highlights of this honey-coloured town. Along the winding mediaeval streets are independent shops, eateries and havens for searching for antiques. Discover the town's past at the ancient church of St.John the Baptist and stroll the River Windrush. With all these delights on your doorstep you won't need to travel far, but within easy reach is popular Burford Garden Centre, the exclusive shopping hub of Daylesford and Blenheim Palace.
