"This is my very first experience with short term stay options in downtown Burlington Ontario. I am a local resident who required an offsite location for working on plans for 2025 and needed a quiet space—this apartment fit my needs perfectly. If the need rises again, I hope to have the opportunity to rebook with Michael and I’ve already highly recommended it to a friend. There were a few hiccups on my part with the checking in (I was one day early) but Michael was very gracious and patient with me—we had a good laugh. Fortunately, I was able to return home LOL. With the checking out, after reviewing all reservation information from Verbo and from the host, my understanding was checkout time was 11 am but was informed the morning of it was 10 o’clock. Unfortunately, I did not see or read the message in time so there was a bit of a crossover between myself still being there in the process of leaving when the cleaning team arrived. I’ll know in future to confirm with the host for checking out time. My apologies for any inconvenience caused to the cleaning crew. This is a lovely little property in walking distance of everything you would hope to enjoy in downtown Burlington. Close to the lake, restaurants etc. I look forward to booking with Verbo again when the need arises. Thank you again to host Michael for helping me find my way through this process for the first time. I highly recommend this booking to anyone (without mobility issues/challenges)! :-)"

"My friends and I for several years try to plan a getaway, and I usually take the responsibility to find THE place for us to stay. When we decided to go to Toronto/Niagara Falls, Hager House seemed ideal. We were so pleased when we arrived to find that we truly made the best choice for our weekend getaway! Martli welcomed us at the house and shared with us valuable info so we could make the most of our trip, especially about taking the train into Toronto (the station is very close!) It is a beautiful drive to Niagara, and on Martli's advice, we visited Niagara-on-the-Lake on the drive back from Niagara and found a great pub (The Olde Angel Inn.) We then went to Queen's Royal Park walked along the shore afterwards with great views of Toronto. Each night after walking all day, we enjoyed tea by the fireplace and then the hot tub (one of the reasons we picked this house!). On our last morning, we walked to Lake Ontario (less than a mile) and enjoyed the fall colors and beautiful neighborhood along the way. Kitchen is well equipped, and we loved having 3 bathrooms. Close to shopping. We ended up going to Longos and we looked forward to going back to Hager House, we only ate out once. We could tell that Martli is passionate about making her house the best, and we agree! We are definitely recommending this great house to friends and family that wish to stay in style while visiting Burlington, Toronto and Niagara Falls."
