Staff was great and helped to work things out when Expedia cancelled our reservation without warning or explanation. Strange that Expedia continued to send me updates to get ready for our booking and treating us as if nothing happened. Expedia still hasn't addressed our issue nor explained why/how they cancelled our reservation.

The Hilton Garden Inn Burlington Downtown is a very nice property, in a somewhat rundown area. It is at least one of, if not the most expensive hotel room I've ever stayed in, including rooms at the New York Marriott Marquis Time Square with a view of Time Square. The price of this Hilton room included no extra amenities; it did not even include parking. Although the hotel is built on top of a parking garage, the parking options are hotel valet parking for an additional $22.00 per night, or street parking if you can find a space. Also, unlike several hotels I've stayed at, including some Hiltons, this hotel does not include a complementary continental breakfast. Due to time constraints on the morning of check-out, we opted for the $18.00 per person breakfast buffet, which we unfortunately realized was out of most offerings, I'm assuming because it was late morning. There was no consideration offered on the full cost of the buffet. Although I am a Hilton member, I will definitely shop around when booking my next visit to Burlington.

For à $550 room you get a nice and clean Garden Inn room that should be $250 and the only parking option is valet that add $20. For that price your room is only serviced every other day. We had adjacent room which was not well soundproof and had to call the reception to ask our neighbor to turn TV sound down. Had to request shampoo that was not in the bathroom. Only positive is the staff that responded promptly to our requests.

We were really looking forward to our first visit to Burlington, and due to its location, we decided on this hotel. Since the beginning, the promised room with great views the room had no views, as was promised. Instead, it faced the back of a building and the rooftop, full of large mechanical equivalent. We soon noticed that both the bathroom sink and tub, were not draining properly. It took 3 requests during our 3 day stay for them to finally fix it. Last, but not least, my traveling companion, slip on a wet ramp, falling to the floor, given there was no visible sign stating the floor was wet. While visiting Burlington I visited several hotels in the same (expensive) category, and all would provide a better stay than this Hilton Gardens inn. I would strongly recommend to choose another hotel option in Burlington.

It's pricey but the location can't be beat. Walkable to Church st and spacious room. The bar staff, Ian, is fantastic! He made us some excellent drinks. The fireplaces in the lobby and front patio are both a nice touch. We enjoyed sitting by them with a drink later in the evening. Breakfast buffet, $18, seemed steep but then you consider that the local bakeries have avocado toast for $14, this is actually a good deal. And no lines. I would go back but go on a less busy weekend where the prices may be better.

The facility in general is fine, it felt a little bit like a municipal hospital in that you had to walk down long hallways to get from the check-in and lobby area to where the rooms were
