The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The entire property is clean and very well maintained. Our room was spotless. Our beds were very comfortable to sleep in as well. The hotel is walking distance from the subway and there are a ton of places to eat/dine at close by. Highly recommend Lotte Hotel!

Wasn't exactly what I was expecting - just take note if you've never been to Busan that this isn't near the water. It is near a busy area, and attached to a giant shopping mall with lots of food options which is nice. And the subway runs from underneath the hotel which is convenient. But it doesn't have that modern, nice beach hotel feel that I was expecting. The pool costs extra to access, and is subpar - it's aesthetically nice looking but shallow and lukewarm in temperature so I didn't feel like staying in for longer than 10 minutes. Not worth $30. I mean I'm saying that as a solo adult traveller but kids might like it. Overall the style of the hotel is a bit outdated and has a overly perfumed smell throoughout.

The hotel was immaculate and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We were upgraded on arrival to the 37th floor which was very kind. You can walk into the department store or to the metro which is very convenient. We used the gym and the facilities were great.

negative comments on this property: we couldn't use the swimming. they are charging $50 for 1 use of swimming pool for adult and $30 for child. This is ridicoulous. I didn't know this when I booked the hotel, otherwise i wouldn't stay at this hotel. secondly. a lot of staff has poor english. Difficult to communicate.

Lotte Hotel Busan was an overall let down from the start. Starting with the positives, location is great, views are lovely and rooms are spacious. Otherwise, it was all bad from there. Arriving at 1pm, we were asked to come back at 2pm to check in. Around 1:58, an older lady approached the front desk to check in and was literally shooed away because it wasn't precisely 2pm yet. By 2pm, a large crowd had gathered and we were allowed to begin the process - we have stayed in hotels worldwide and have never seen any handle check-in this way. While checking in, the staff was cold and short. Upon going into our room, we were shocked to find the dirtiest white chair (actually yellowed and looked like it had never been cleaned), scuffed furniture everywhere, dirty spoons and cups, dirty office chair, holes in the curtains and other issues. This was likely the worst 5 star hotel we have ever stayed in and definitely the dirtiest one. We stayed for 5 nights and couldn't wait to leave. I would strongly suggest you explore other options before booking here. Though, confused by all the positive reviews, it might just be bad luck that our room was one of the worse ones and that our interactions with check in were poor. Overall, would never recommend and would likely stay away from the Lotte chain in the future.
