Old Mallard is the BEST house in Pocono Mountains. This home has everything you need and the views from every room are stunning and plenty of space outdoors too! The bright and Architect designed open concept kitchen, dining room and family room in a 26x26 space with 13 ft. ceilings makes it a perfect gathering space for family and friends. Share the love of cooking, playing games, sitting by the fire or watching a movie or enjoy the large game room. At night, take a walk down to our private firepit, make some smores and tell scary stories to the kids.

Plan for the amazing Poconos Outdoors, the best place to see the leaves changing, tons of festivals and great relaxing time on the lake.

If you're looking for a great vacation destination that is close enough to drive from NYC (2 hours), Old Mallard is be perfect home for you. Our family has enjoyed many summers at this home with our kids and we think it would make an ideal all-year getaway spot. The Private community comes with lots of amenities nearby including hiking trails, a white sandy beach, access to the lake, indoor heated pool (weekends from Sept to May), Outdoor Heated Pool (Memorial Day to Labor Day daily 12-8 pm). The house features a large deck overlooking the lake and again the large 40x20 private fenced-in heated Pool is a big popular amenity for Old Mallard and will open May 15, 2023. The game room with its professional size ping pong table, foosball table, mini fridge and TV area is sure to please everyone...you can challenge your kids to a competitive game of old school Galaga in our retro Nintendo NES system with 450 games.

Come to this large 4 BD, 3 BA lakefront home with tall cathedral ceilings, fully stocked NEW LUX kitchen and everything you need to impress your foodie friends or in-laws. We just installed a new large 36K HVAC in the main room for extra cooling, so it is very refreshing in the hot days coming up!

Old Mallard on Eagle Lake, is a private retreat in the Pocono Mountains. The property is very private with a wooded empty lot next to our home and only 78 steps to your private large dock, easy walk to the sandy beach and playground, ideal for the little ones to play and be able to gradually walk into the water.

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life to enjoy nature at its finest on our pristine lake. You'll be able to fish for bass, pike or sunfish that are all friendly! Bring the family down to the water with you as they will surely have fun exploring this beautiful setting while seeing some amazing scenery too-the most beautiful sunsets and sunrises...I guarantee it!

Nearby attractions include Tree Ventures for climbing and ziplining, Childs Park for more hiking, Bushkill Falls (The Niagara of PA) and the Delaware River for canoeing. If you want to stay home and do nothing, we have everything for you. Use our canoe and kayak for free, swim in our motor-free lake, see if you can do one lap, it's about 1 mile around. Great fun for all and very well kept. Plenty of pillows and blankets to cozy up. We look forward to hosting you at Old Mallard. You might get lucky and see some wildlife also from the property. For runners, this area has some challenging and very low-traffic hills and roads for your enjoyment. The deer will be your fans on the route.

Spacious and clean!
We loved our stay at Old Mallard. It was clean, spacious and mostly as described. The pool area, although closed, looked a bit messy. The main floor bedrooms were great and the kids loved the bunk room. The dining area was plenty big for 10 of us! There were not any games as listed in the site, but lots of books. The basement and bathrooms need a little work and the basement twin room is rustic. None of this really impacted our stay. Would be nicer with some fixes but we still say the house and hosts are a 5!

We stayed for a weekend with cousins and family. Typically, I would host and decided it would be nice to get away. The house has great open space for gathering. Lakefront with a dock that has benches. Comfortable accommodations and the house is fully stocked with everything you need in the kitchen.

Perfect!
We loved everything about this place. Perfect space for getting a large family together. Beautiful great room and game room. We were so grateful for all of the resources and toys for our almost 2 year old (pack n play, high chair, baby gate, etc.) Jose was an excellent host, available and helpful with any questions. Some perks: -20 minutes to Shawnee. -Indoor fireplace, outdoor fire pit, & gorgeous lakefront property. Special shoutout for Jose’s honesty for calling us so quickly when we left something very important behind! Hope we can come back!

Beautiful property on the lake with an amazing pool, We came for my parents 50th wedding anniversary with 6 adults, 5 kids (ages 10-16), We enjoyed fishing off the deck, swimming in the lake and pool and kayaking. We used the grill to cook and fire pit for s’mores, We want to go back again!

Nice place for a getaway
The house was really cute with great lake views and plenty of room for our group of 12. They did a great job on what appeared to be somewhat recent renovations and the decor was on point. We enjoyed the warmth and ambiance of the fireplace and the kids LOVED the s'more station. Jose was super communicative and easy to reach. We booked this location largely for the use of the community indoor pool, but it closed way earlier than they noted online and they were closed altogether the next day so it was a bummer we weren't able to access it at all. Otherwise a lovely stay and would recommend.

Fabulous Getaway at Old Mallard
We had a wonderful stay at Old Mallard. The home was well appointed and spacious enough for our family. The owners, Jennifer and Jose, are pros. They sent us a trip guide in advance of our stay with information about local activities and restaurants, and they supplied sheets, towels, toiletries, and other amenities for use during our visit. The views were spectacular. We had a great time boating in the lake and swimming under the stars in the private heated pool. Jose and Jennifer sent us reminders during the week (e.g. when trash day approached) and we appreciated the fact that they thought of everything so we didn't have to! Their extra touches were icing on the cake of a fantastic getaway, and we would rent from them again for sure!

Fabulous Thanksgiving stay!
We chose this property to celebrate our Thanksgiving dinner together with family and friends. The property was a great place to do just that. The view of the lake was gorgeous, the open concept dinning and living room were spacious and sunny. There were seven of us and there was plenty of room for all of us. Jose responded quickly whenever we had a question about something.

Beautiful property with all amenities for family fun
We thoroughly enjoyed the stay at the property. Jose promptly responded to my queries. Kids really enjoyed the stay given all the amenities provided - fusball, ping pong. The lake was icing on the cake. Although it was cold so we couldn’t do much outdoors, there was canoe for use and in summer In-ground pool use would be a great activity for kids. We used the fire pit which was very enjoyable for kids having roasted s’mores :-). Overall an excellent place for a quick getaway or even a week long stay! Thanks Jose!
