Welcome to our tiny-home cabin in the Appalachians near Watauga Lake, the Appalachian Trail and three Ski areas; we would love to host you! Although we allow up to 4 guests, please keep in mind this tiny home is only 500ft². The home features one queen bed as well as a queen sleeper sofa in the living area. Twisted Vines Cabin is hosted by Christie & Donaven at WataugaLakeVacations, come relax, unwind, and reconnect with what you love.
Escape the city lights in our Appalachian tiny-house. On the main level, there is a full kitchen, dining area, living area, and outdoor deck complete with grill, bistro dining set and outdoor seating. For connectivity and entertainment, we offer free high-speed WiFi, a 43" 4K HDR Roku TV. As cell service is limited in this remote area, WiFi calling must be enabled to make phone calls. Downstairs has a magnificent queen bed made from beautiful, local hardwood, a full bathroom with shower, small sitting area and laundry room. Watauga Lake, the Appalachian Trail, and ski resorts are all within minutes.
You have access to the entire cabin. There is very little yard space; however, there is ample deck space. Paved parking allows for two vehicles.
This area is quite remote; however, the cabin is on a major road for the area (it is only a two lane highway) and is very easy to get find.
Watauga Lake, one of the cleanest lakes in the country, offers great places for boating, swimming, water sports, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boarding. Boat rentals are just seven minutes away and the Little Milligan boat ramp is five minutes away.
The Appalachian Trail is 11 minutes away, and many hiking trails such as Laurel Falls, Blue Hole Falls, Pond Mountain, and Lacy Trap Ridge are close by.

This cabin is located on a well traveled two lane road. During the winter, it is plowed first and up kept regularly. There is ample parking just off the road for 2 vehicles or vehicle with a trailer. Pull in and pull out is easy and no backing up is required.

There is a Dollar General within four minutes and a variety of grocery stores 18 to 25 minutes away. We recommend you get groceries prior to arrival.
WiFi calling must be enabled to make phone calls from the cabin - cell service is limited in the area.
This cabin is located in the Cherokee National Forest. One of the benefits is you will possibly get to see wildlife! We have seen bear, deer, turkeys, etc. Conversely, you may see wildlife! Since it is in a remote area, be aware that this is a possibility and should be expected.
A baby crib, Graco Pack-N-Play, is available in the laundry room.
