Holiday home in the heart of Cable Bay and 200 metres to the golden sands and a little surf. 180 degree uninterrupted views of Doubtless Bay from most rooms of the house. Decks off the living area and private deck off main bedroom. Located 2 km from Coopers Beach shopping area and 2.4 km from Taipa shops and service station. Cable Bay store for that icecream is 200 metres across the road from the beach.
Enjoy the sunrise and sunsets from this fabulous location or take the Kayak down to the beach and set off for a snapper in Chucks Cove ( it will reward you).
Room for a tent on the back lawn if required and plenty of room to park the boat on site with easy access off the quiet side road.
Close proximately to Coopers Beach, Taipa Beach and boat ramp not to mention historic Mangonui and it's famous Fish and Chip Shop and fabulous cafes like my favourite The Waterfront Cafe.

Scenic views but Fawlty Towers comfort
Disappointed as it was family for my 70th, place needs a deep clean esp carpets & lounges - which need replacing (really smelly), downstairs bedrooms uninhabitable due to mould - daughter & partner slept in their van, kitchen fairly clean but cupboards falling off, pillows and towels need replacing, both bathrooms need makeover, all games and puzzles need replacing as vital pieces missing, replace veranda chairs, weed around front step and pick up bits of rubbish at front step and under back step.

Classic Kiwi Bach
Amazing location and views. Well kitted out kitchen, washer and dryer. Outdoor sink for filleting fish. Smelled strongly of fish on arrival. Not clean. Loads of cobwebs, needs a deep clean and maintenance. Be aware that the two downstairs rooms are dark, with only one having an external window. A bit damp and couldn’t get dehumidifier to work.

Family Event
My brothers and I needed a no fuss, clean and Doubtless Bay central place to stay for a family event. The bach was very clean with all the basics catered for, I would definitely stay again.

Lovely family stay:)

Dangers of Cable Bay
It started with the dangerous handrail on the access stairway, the front door that was broken, the joinery that didnt quite fit, the black mould around the shower and bath, the taps that were loose, the stair rail inside that wasnt safe, the narrow stairway to downstairs, the lack of a safe exit from downstairs, the musty smell from the lack of ventilation downstairs, the smell of urine in the upstairs bedroom and the toilet being loose. Take your pick of reasons not to hire this house.

Would definitely come back to this property. So close to beach. Great communication with host. Lovely views and everything to make a week long holiday fun and easy. Great position of BBQ and table on deck. Well set up kitchen and laundry is separate room which is great. Spacious comfortable lounge . Beds comfortable. The only negative at all was that the downstairs is not quite as nice as the upstairs due to damp smell. Dehumidifier provided which helped but not completely.

Excellent Family Bach
This was our second time at this bach - suits our family very well as is spacious with plenty of sleeping arrangement options/configurations. We intend to book again for next summer. Views are amazing and the beach only a couple of mins walk (we have older children so walking back up the hill was no problem for them).
