Customer Service Issues
I have owned a business (dental office) for 14 years, and know sometimes things just don't go well with the patient/customer experience. Well, we had an experience like that at Villa Cabu... Every day of our stay, except 1, we were without water on the property. On 3 separate occasions the water went out while someone was showering. On 2 separate occasions it went out as we were preparing meals, leading to us aborting mission and going out to eat. Now things happen, I know... and our family is pretty easy going and tolerant of surprises. But this was quite a disturbance to our stay, but again we rolled with it and enjoyed ourselves. However, I was very disappointed to hear that the management of the property refunded us 215 to compensate us for the great inconvenience we experiences. In the end, what makes my experience with this property poor, is the way management dealt with this unforeseen problem. Offering us 215 doesn't even come close to fair compensation for what we dealt with. We spent 3.5 times that amount just eating out at restaurants because we were unable to prepare our own meals with the water outage. The property was nice, and we loved many aspects of it. The host was also very responsive and helped the best he could, given the circumstances. I just wouldn't trust that if something goes wrong you'll be reimbursed or compensated appropriately for the inconvenience. And to me that is worth looking to another property for your stay.
