A worthwhile stay! Right in the old town and lots of jewelry shops. A 10 minute walk to the riverside restaurant row (Soul Kitchen, Buenas Dias, Bella Vista, Plaza de Toros, Carpe Diem, Irish Pub St. Patrick) or have tea aboard the galleon at the river.
There is some wear-n-tear apparent in the rooms, but it's minor blemishes. The beds were somewhat firm, though nowhere close to sleeping on the tabletops in use in Istanbul, Turkey. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The indoor pool, jacuzzi, salt sauna, steam sauna, and Turkish bath were all on-point. 45-minute massage we worth the price. 17 massages and several treatments to choose from.
Inexplicably, one morning the maid knocked on the door at 8:00 and then swiped her master card to enter. For someone coming from the western hemisphere trying to adjust to the time change, this was rude.
Bonus: hire a taxi and head to the restaurant at Hunter's Lodge Kamnik. The food is superb!!!!
