My only complaint is that the floor had an external Air Conditioner unit at the end of the hallway and was exceptionally noisy, to the point I made a complaint and was able to change rooms. If staying it would be a good Idea to request a room at the opposite end of the hallway.

We had a wonderful stay at The Benson. The rooms have been renovated & look exactly like the website photos. Rooms are serviced everyday and are fitted with a microwave, kettle, plates, cutlery, mugs & glasses for four people. Ample storage for bags as well. The pool is huge & very deep (2.1m), pool noodles & towels are supplied. Late arvo, the pool is not in direct sun. The laundry (washer & dryer) is also located on level 4. Rusty’s market is directly opposite (Fri-Sun) and lots of coffee shops & eateries located at The Bensons door step. Both Cairns Central shopping centre & Cairns Esplanade are within easy walking distance from the hotel.

Overall pretty good
After 3 weeks 4WD up to Cape and back it was good to have a nice hot shower and change of clothes. This hotel was a welcome change to the camping and camp grounds. A nice place to refresh before heading south.
