Not good…
Day 1 - I’m a pretty easing going person and to get a last minute affordable place to stay during Stampede was super limited, so this place looked fine.
First night was fine, though the house was a little dirty. I’m disabled myself so I’m pretty understanding about mess, and they had kids. I went downstairs to get water at some point and the house was a MESS - food on the floor, things laying all over the floor like random papers, food left on the counter, etc. I went back to my room assuming it would be fine if I just stayed upstairs - the upstairs was tidy and seemed clean enough.
day 2 - I didn’t use the shower because it looked quite dirty - this was a newer house so it wasn’t just from long time use. I went out all day, came back around 7 PM totally exhausted. Someone downstairs was playing loud music but I just put headphones on. I started trying to sleep around 10 PM but the noise continued.
From 7- 1 AM there was
-Loud music, singing, and loud talking downstairs
-Children running and yelling right outside my door
-Doors slamming open and shut
-A dog barking - the listing did not say there was a dog.
-It was about 30 degrees out and they wouldn’t run the AC which was listed as an amenity. I didn’t even have a fan in the room. Couldn’t leave the window open due to smoke and loud planes.
I debated leaving around midnight when the noise continued, but got a few hours of sleep and left ASAP in the morning, feeling frustrated. I’m hoping to get a refund.
