Beautifully clean and presented, 20 min walk into Calheta beach. Fantastic staff. Breakfast is freshly prepared daily and is delicious. They also have a restaurant for evening meals, and the food is good, but nothing mind blowing, we expected a bit more as it was offered as a ‘tasting menu’, but that’s the only downside. We stayed for 5 days in the Groto room and it was huge and well appointed. Would return! I was ill on the last day and we asked to check out as late as possible so I could recover, they did their best to help and we checked out 3 hours after time, thank you!

We just had a really lovely stay at Socalco! The room was beautiful, the staff very helpful and friendly, and the food amazing. It’s up a steep hill, get ready to climb everywhere in Madeira! But that comes with wonderful views over the sea. Definitely have dinner in the restaurant a few times, and enjoy having breakfast presented on your table each morning.

Toller Meerblick, das Essen wird zum Großteil selbst angebaut und zum Frühstück wird eine tolle Auswahl an den Tisch serviert. Auch die Zimmer waren top.

Vi havde et helt igennem fantastisk ophold, og fik vores 3 bedte dage på ferien her. Hotellet ligger smukt placeret på en klippe med en fantastisk udsigt ud over hotellets have og vandet. Vi borde i vores egen fritstående lejlighed på toppen med en lille terresse, hvor fra vi kunne nyde vejret og udsigten. Servicen uanset om det galt rengøring, mad eller hjælp til udflugter var perfekt. Idylen, stilheden og naturen ved hotellet var fantastisk og vi kan kun give vores bedste anbefalinger til hotellet.

excellent accueil dans un emplacement magnifique!
Endroit magnifique dans les hauteurs de Calheta. Le personnel est parfait, la propreté impeccable, petit déjeuner sur la terrasse du restaurant complet et excellent. Avons dîné sur place un soir, c'était très bon et raffiné.
