"A lovely quiet restful place to stay"

"I started out nervous because I didn’t get an answer back about a question for several days, and the letter with the info for getting into the house came with the wrong name and the wrong dates. Fortunately, it had the right door code on it. The home is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood with a lovely view. The primary bedroom is large with a sitting area, balcony, fireplace, and large bathroom with a heated floor and steam shower. There were no amenities for small children such as high chair or travel crib. The many stairs were also a bit precarious for the two little ones we had with us. The kitchen was large, but we found it lacking in kitchen equipment such as measuring spoons and cups, mixing bowl, and pancake/hamburger spatula, to name a few. The knife set was sharp and there was a cookbook on the counter. Would have loved to have had a binder on favorite local restaurants, grocery stores, how to use the fireplaces, etc. This house is new to VRBO, and I think it could be a great place to stay with a few additions."

"This is a small cottage behind the main house in my favorite Berkeley neighborhood (walk to the movie theater, bakeries, coffee shops, grocery store). I liked the radiant heating and warm floor in the winter, comfortable bed with great linens, and lots of light yet private. It's no longer new, and some of the furnishing is showing its age, but I found the place very comfortable. Parking in the driveway was great, as parking can be tight in this area. Patty was an excellent host."

"The Oak House was a great location for a bride, bridesmaid, mother of the bride and aunt of the bride to get ready for a Saturday wedding in Tilden Park! So much natural light in the big open front room and open area for relaxing and socializing. I promise it wasn’t a party, just a few family members enjoying each other’s company and celebrating love."
