Giving it an average because it served a purpose. The staff were excellent. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was ok but limited as a continental. Room condition was "well used" and needs some TLC. Lots of cobwebs when I walked in the room. Close to a busy road with noise throughout the night

Great for Duxford Air Shows
Overnight stay to be near Duxford for airshow. Couldn't have picked a better pub/hotel. Only 17 mins from hotel to show on quiet road. Rooms were high quality, large & recently modernised. My room had shower over roll top bath but father-in-laws had walk in shower. If unsteady on feet, ask for separate shower. Food in pub was excellent & reasonably priced. We skipped breakfast as they don't start serving until 9am on a Sunday & we wanted to get off to the show. We were offered continental breakfast in a bag that would be delivered to the room. Declined offer but it looked pretty good. Great location if visiting Duxford museum or the air shows & not far from Cambridge etc

Havent stayed here for a while and still as comfy as ever. Love how out of the way it is and no chains just great comfort and service. Food was excellent and service excellent from the two ladies whho served me ( didnt get their names) will be back again soon

Excellent mid week stay, the rooms were clean and nicely furnished, the bed was super comfortable. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant and the staff were faultless. I would thoroughly recommend The Old Red Lion.

Rooms and public areas are somewhat dated. Continental Breakfast left in the room was poor to say the least OK for a one night stay Website unclear as indicates check in only from 6pm whereas the pub is open all day

Disappointing is an understatement!!
I travel a lot so booked a week’s stay at this particular hotel because it looked okay, was reasonably priced which included breakfast and was near where i needed to be. After arriving late on the Sunday night and having not the best of sleeps, I had to leave on the Monday due to a family emergency. So I explained this to the hotel and asked if I could have a refund for my remaining nights and was simply told “no”…. No refunds…. I asked again and was told again, it’s a no. Because I booked this via hotels.com I assumed they would help me and they tried…. But they, like me got a “no” from the hotel… which is disappointing to say the least when you take into account the reason I had to leave. I was told that they even rented out the room I had left… Needless to say I won’t be staying here again, I won’t be recommending this hotel to anyone in my network and I won’t be giving them a good review…. Because i didn’t feel as though I was a valued customer….

Last minute booking as working in the area. Friendly staff, nice bar & restaurant, evening meal was delicious and good selection of ales. Very spacious room with comfy bed and good water pressure on the walk in shower. Also had a fridge in the room with complimentary bottled water. Continental breakfast provided the night before to eat in room10/10

A great pub and inn. Would totally recommend. Meal was delicious - one of the best we’ve had on our trip. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Clean and comfortable room with everything you need.
