We had a passport problem that delayed us leaving the country. We came here to stay, while we sorted it out. The Melia staff, to a person, were incredibly kind, helpful, and went out of their way to help us have both a pleasant stay, and even get information, from the government, about the hours for offices, information on where we needed to go, as some addresses provided on paperwork were wrong, etc.
I had a previous stay, in Cuba, several years ago, where we arrived to a hotel that was shuttered due to Hurricane Maria. Melia, there, helped us navigate how to switch hotels without having to go home. It was why I booked this one. I was not disappointed. Excellence in service is a brand thing, at Melia.
I am so appreciative of the kindness, and professionalism of the staff at Melia Hotels that I will now make a point of staying at them, if they’re in cities where I’m traveling.
