Crowne Plaza was very nice, convenient place to stay at. Buffet breakfast was amazing so much food to choose from. Bed was comfortable but for some reason there was only a queen size quilt on a king size bed. So we were fighting over the quilt all night as it wasn’t big enough!! The beautiful view of the trees in the park next to the motel and framed by a huge window!

We usually stay at the Diplomat when in Canberra but thought we would try something different this time. Our stay at the Crowne was disappointing and we will not be staying again. The Crowne is ageing rapidly and quickly becoming 2-3 star accommodation. The CBD location is good. Parking is limited and difficult - unbelievably at extra cost and somewhat of a lottery as to whether a spot is available. The fit-out is tired and outdated. It feels grubby. The bathrooms have obviously never been updated since being installed 30-odd years ago. No Netflix, etc??? The block-out window blinds are effective though. Carpet needs replacement, new paintwork required, decor is dated. Breakfast buffet was good and a decent range of options were available - the Crowne exceeds the Diplomat on this offering. The ground/lobby common areas were a good standard. No common coffee machine for after hours - it's 2024?!? Anyway, it's past time to get the place in order - hire a consultant if necessary. You are trading on past performance that has long since expired.

We were lucky to be upgraded on our second night to a one bedroom suite! Just lovely. The staff are very professional and eager to ensure a lovely stay. The room was amazing! Red salt restaurant delicious and highly rated by our 11 year old. We will be back!

Placed us on the first floor, no privacy whatsoever. If they specified this on our purchase, we would not choose it. Not happy. Renovation is also out of date, and bedding is old. We don’t think it is a four stars hotel as they advertised, it is a three stars hotel at the most.

The hotel is in a few spot to access shopping and fanatic dining options. The room, particularly the bathroom is very dated, and desperately needs updating. The beds were doubles which was not a comfortable sleep for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We won’t be booking here next visit. Staff were friendly though!
