Well located - flat 5 min walk to large Westfield complex, 7 min drive to University of Canberra, where I was attending for the week. Probably would have been about a 20-25 min walk to UC and there is a footpath all the way, but there are a couple of hills that would have to be walked up to get there.
Property itself is a little dated but the rooms were clean enough (just). The grounds were very untidy with rubbish in the carpark and grassed areas unmowed. As a Mum who looks after everyone all week, I was looking forward to coming back to the hotel every night to my bed being made by someone else as happens in other hotels, but I had to make my own bed☹️. It’s a small thing, but it would have helped me to feel much more comfortable and would have earned another star from me.
I booked about 2 months in advance and the price was reasonable for what was on offer. I would have been very disappointed if I’d paid more. Best to book with the property direct rather than a 3rd party booking site. I booked and paid in full, then realised a month later that I needed to reduce my stay by 1 night. Because I hadn’t booked directly through the property, they said they could not adjust the booking and refund me for the night I left early.
Overall, fine if you only need a place to sleep.
