The location and the rooms were fantastic. The bartenders at the swim up bar in the adults only pool were amazing. Agustin and Roberto were very attentive and always had our drinks ready.

This property is absolutely beautiful! I enjoyed my entire stay, the only complaint would be loud construction which happens so it’s not their fault and I can tell they’re redoing a lot of this place. Miguel was our ‘butler’ and he was extremely helpful always keeping in touch with me through out the day. He also arranged a beautiful surprise with the maid service on our bed! Rose petals on in the shape of a rose in our room with a personalized card for celebrating our wedding anniversary. The other thing that will maybe annoy a new visitor is the sit down about the club that is appx 2 hours. One of the men did give us an huge attitude and got mad at us for not being ready to commit to that. Regardless we didn’t let that ruin our trip. I would definitely go back in the future because of the staff, food, location the beach and what they plan to do to the resort looks amazing!! Hope this review helps others.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The staff was friendly and attentive, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and the amenities were top-notch. The location was perfect for exploring the area, and we enjoyed every moment of our vacation. Highly recommend!

The beer was good but the liquor was cheap. Didn’t like that I had to pay for sweet wine! It was a nightmare, trying to get reasonable time to eat at one of the restaurants besides the buffet The main pool was down for construction! The buffet food was pretty good. All of the staff were extremely helpful and polite! The beach was absolutely beautiful!!!

Check in process was horrible . Staff was rude , it took more than 1 hour to check in . Dinning for veg buffet was not good.. not much option or tag to identify which one is veg or non veg so you have to be very careful when you pick.. not much activity was planned even though on weekends.. No Dj on pool side.. room ameneties was okie.. iron , coffee machine didn’t work. morning breakfast didn’t get table service after waiting for 30 min.. very less staff in buffet area .. Not recommended. We will not go back again ..

This resort was perfect for my family. We had an ocean view Family Suite. Only thing with rooms which is not a big deal. You have 2 double beds. with 4 people, 2 adults struggle to fit in one bed. However there is a comfortable couch in the family room area that was fine to sleep on. Food was good. Several choices, including chicken fingers, burgers, and pizza during the day. Swim up bar at the adult bar was perfect. Liked it because not overly busy. Met some great people. I will say the main thing that made this a Five Star review is the service from the employees. The pool wait staff, Hector, Erika and Yaraira and were fantastic. Always had a smile on their face and always providing excellent service. The bartenders, Damian, Belmai and Christian were great as well. Always ensuring you get a drink in a timely fashion and with a smile. Sergio is the man at the cafe. I got my coffee from him every morning. He knew what I wanted and would always strike up a conversation. He is quite the fisherman! He also is a Metallica and Van Halen fan! LOL. .. Great guy. At the buffet, Fermin makes the omelettes each morning just like you want it. Another employee where you can see his smile from a mile away. We also received some great service at the buffet from Ivan and Daniel. Grand Park Royal management - if you read this review, please ensure to recognize these employees, as they were the difference. We will definitely plan on coming back to your resort in Cancun.

We love the cozy atmosphere of the resort gave. It's very lay back and relaxing. It doesn't have a party vibe which I preferred. Staffs are very friendly and attentive. There are staffs constantly making sure places are clean and guests are taken care of. We were very lucky to have a butler took care of us the whole time. Which I was surprised by the package we booked thru Expedia. Viajahira, she make sure we know all the activities happen at the resort everyday. She took care of our dinner reservations, saved us a cabana at the beach to hangout. We feel so pampered. Emma and Hector are always checking to make sure if we want anything to drink at the pool and the beach. We also love the roof top bar above the Italian restaurant. Not the type that blasting music but Jazz and R&B vibe. Can't beat the view of the lagoon and Cancun night sky. There are multiple restaurants to choose from. Buffet, seafood, Italian, Asian fusion, habachi. From casual to dress up and they're all pretty good. We've been to Cancun many time. Stayed at different resorts. Some with families some are girls trip. I would definitely stay at Grand Park Royal Cancun again.

Personally i didn't like the food, it lacked flavor. I was expecting authentic mexican flavors but the food lacked seasonings. Staff was friendly and helpful. Property is under construction and main pool was blocked off. My room had a nice view which for me is a plus. Night activities could be better. I give this resort a 3 out of 5 stars.

They cut the water for two hours twice without notification The elevators were out of order, so we had to use the stairs to reach our room on the fourth floor. We had to complain to get another room on the second floor. The pool was closed on the last day for maintenance, and all visitors were required to use a very small pool.
