Overall, the ZIN Canggu hotel is a disappointment. The hotel is overpriced considering its condition and offers a mediocre experience. Upon arrival, the welcome experience was underwhelming as the staff did not accommodate my request for a later breakfast time, even though I needed to surf early in the morning.
Although the pictures of the hotel appear inviting, the reality is quite different. The hotel shows signs of aging, with stained towels and a lack of power outlets near the bed, although there is a reading light. The closet is difficult to access, adding to the inconvenience. Additionally, the spa is located near a sticky river, which takes away from the relaxation experience. During my complimentary 30-minute massage, the staff skipped the feet washing process, resulting in an uncomfortable sensation as they rubbed my feet before my legs.
Furthermore, the mini fridge in the room looks outdated and reminiscent of the 80s.
On a positive note, the hotel manager, Didik, was friendly and accommodating. He extended the breakfast time and allowed for a later check-out, which I greatly appreciated. However, even with the extended breakfast time, the breakfast itself was lackluster and did not meet expectations.
In conclusion, the ZIN Canggu hotel does not live up to its advertised image. The hotel is overpriced for its condition, with underwhelming amenities and average service.
