"Our second stay at The Moat House, the staff are wonderful, the rooms are spacious, the are dog friendly. The decor is sympathetic to the period building. A couple of negatives, despite asking for advice I couldn’t get the room warm enough during the night. The hotel is popular for wedding/ birthday events, unfortunately some other residents aren’t as considerate, who let their children run and down the corridor at 1am. That’s not the hotel’s fault but it did mean we didn’t sleep too well. Fortunately the excellent breakfast and service helped to make up it "

"We chose this pub/room because of the proximity to my family and their ability to accommodate pets. The owners and staff were kind, polite and welcoming. They made a big fuss of our dog and they looked after us in the evening. The hotel room was clean and tidy; nothing extravagant but that is not the reason we stayed. Thank you to you and your staff for making us feel welcome. One to note and we will keep it up our sleeve for the next time we visit family."
