Both bedrooms are ready for you to drop your luggage off so you can venture out to the wonderful award-winning restaurants, world-class vineyards, boutique shops, trendy cafes, national parks, hiking and walking tracks such as Lake Canobolas and Borenore Caves.

The dining and kitchen spaces are appointed with modern appliances and all of the essential amenities you require. Take advantage of the amazing views and glorious sunsets offered by your own colourful piece of Orange countryside that surrounds the home.

THE LOCATION
Situated on a beautiful, spacious property just past the Towac Racecourse, guests have the convenience of being in a peaceful country setting, yet the CBD is just a short 5 minute drive away. The CBD boasts some of Orange's best restaurants, cafes, bars, parks and shopping.

Vineyards and Cellar Doors tastings are as close as 10 minutes by car.

Fantastic place once we found it
My son and I stayed for a couple of nights while at a MTB event. The property is exactly as described. Comfortable and spacious. The only problem is it was extremely hard to find. GPS took us to a housing estate on the other side of the rail tracks. There was no phone number to call for help. We eventually got there by a door to door search in the dark. Some simple directions In the checkin app would be great idea.

8 Day stay
I stayed here with my 92 year old mother. She could move around easily as it was all on one level. Very quiet and peaceful even though the road is close by - we couldn’t hear the vehicles. A train does go past daily but the noise didn’t bother us at all. Birds and ducks were frequent visitors in the mornings and afternoons. Well appointed kitchen including coffee machine, crockery/cutlery and pots/pans - everything we needed to cook our meals. It would have been nice to have a clock and a couple of extra garbage bags as our stay was in days. I also requested a late check out but my request was still sitting at ‘waiting for owners to confirm late checkout’ on the morning of checkout so I assume that it was not approved.it would be nice to have a confirmation either way so I could organise my leave time better. I will choose to stay here again on my next visit to Orange.

Did not receive an email with the code for the key. It was sorted out when we got there, but the number to ring wasn't easy to find. Once found it resolved quickly. Seems to be a systemic issue which should be resolved.

Great place to stay in Orange
First stay in Orange and very happy with the accommodation. It is out of town, only 10 minute drive, but gives the sense of being out in the country with open views to the west. Thornleigh cottage is well maintained, new inside, gardens are immaculate. Easy driveway access for 2 cars. We'll come back.

Directions to the property were excellent and easy to follow. 3 door keys were provided in the lock box located beside the front door, which was super convenient if more than 1 couple are staying at the property. The property was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, the lounges and bedding was extremely comfortable, with fans and heaters provided in the bedrooms and reverse cycle air con in the living area. The property looks onto the owners beautiful garden on one side and an open paddock on the other, both very pleasing views. The property is a very convenient 5 minutes trip into the centre of Orange, but off the main road, so was very peaceful.
