Lovely place but resort fee??
Was surprised I had to pay the resort fee separately and it wasn’t included in the price we paid for the room through hotels.com. Those fees made the cost of the hotel seem much higher than we expected. While a nice location and historical hotel. The price is high for what you get. I’d expect a lot more amenities for paying guests considering you don’t need to stay at the hotel to use the same “amenities” with the exception of the outdoor pool which in the Fall isn’t an option.

Not a complaint but a warning. This is an old hotel, so you’re basically staying in a museum. If you like the latest frills you might be disappointed. That being said, I’d rather my room had a desk/makeup table and chair rather than a big flatscreen tv. I came for the beach, history and location, not to watch tv.
