We booked two rooms at the Casa Griunit only to find that the description on the hotels.com Website had been misleading. The Casa Griunit doesn’t offer rooms, each unit is actually an apartment. The apartment would have had sleeping space for four people with a bedroom and a sofabed downstairs, but we wanted two separate rooms for our 5-day stay. Luckily, this was resolved to our complete satisfaction by the owner and hotels.com staff. The apartments each had a lovely, spacious bedroom upstairs under the roof, and a smallish kitchen and dining/living room downstairs. The kitchen had most things necessary to cook breakfast and simple meals. There is a small supermarket and a fabulous bakery in the village, within 5 minutes walking distance. The Casa is connected to the Roncùs Winery, and we bought some of their beautiful wines to go with our dinners - sadly not at a discount ...
We had 4 bicycles at our disposition for free, which was fantastic and allowed us to discover the beautiful surroundings and great places in the vicinity (Spessa Castle, Villa Russiz, Subida).
