Vacation rental home like no other – Dream Home- Captiva Island

Captiva Dream Home…a vacation rental home like no other. It is a truly special property and a
work of art. Custom built and reimagined down to every minor detail. It is a distinguished home
for those guests that are looking for a unique property that is not your typical vacation home.
Stay in the home designed for world famous artist, Robert Rauschenberg. He welcomed many
movie stars and celebrities to this home over the years.

The location is second to none, being in the heart of Captiva Village just a short walk or golf cart
ride to quaint shops and restaurants. Steps from your expansive porch is the sand…sunset views
are awe inspiring. Are you able to work remotely and your children have virtual or online school
classes? We have Xfinity High Speed wireless interest throughout the home, perfect for distance
learning and Zoom meetings.

There is plenty of space for up to 20 guests complete with a full kitchen, dining area, spacious
living room and endless Gulf views. There is an elevator for easy access to all levels of the
home. The main level of the home has direct Gulf views throughout with an open kitchen to the
dining and living room areas. There is a main level bedroom with a king-sized bed and ensuite
half bath and a full bathroom and laundry room nearby. Upstairs, the master bedroom suite
includes a king bed and ensuite bathroom with dual sinks and stackable washer and dryer. There
is another suite with two king beds and a pull-out twin sofa accompanied by a full bathroom with
dual sinks across the hall. Between these two suites there is a room with two queen beds and an
ensuite half bath. All of the rooms have blackout floor to ceiling blinds for ultimate privacy.
There is a deck in between with seating and Gulf views as well as an upper deck with seemingly
endless water views. On the lower level, there is a game room with arcade games and a foosball
table. Additionally, there is a bonus space with a sitting area and 75’ flat panel TV and
kitchenette space.

The outdoor space on the lower level includes a new expansive heated pool and hot tub, bean bag toss, seating area and a multi-use outdoor table for pool, ping pong, or meals made on the grill! We look forward to
welcoming you to our Dream Home for a fabulous and relaxing week (or longer!) very soon!

Property was perfect for a family holiday. Great space for all to be together (and to separate when needed a little quite time.) Island still going through some post hurricane rebuilding pains, but everyone could not be nicer.

Great home but.....
The home itself and its location are five-star without hesitation; however, a few issues kept us from giving a five-star review. First, neither the photos nor the description mentioned the construction around the house, which includes a plywood barrier along the beach and beach path. Literally every photo we took from the 1st and 2nd floors of the beach, sunset, and front of the home had to be edited or taken at an angle to avoid including the plywood fencing. The construction equipment on the side of the house and the trailer parked in the driveway were also unexpected and required us to work around them to park our vehicles, PWC trailer, and golf carts we rented. We would have still given the property five stars if they had updated their description and photos on VRBO, as they said they would, to accurately reflect the property's current state. However, no edits were made to the listing. The second issue we encountered was that the main floor was hot! We had to take the fans from the front deck and bring them inside just to get the temperature below 78°F. Closing the shades during the day made little difference and eliminated the ocean view entirely. Despite a few other small issues here and there, we had a great time. Bring plenty of bug spray for the no-see-ums, and keep in mind that the island has not fully recovered from the hurricane in terms of shops and restaurants. However, what do you really need besides friends, family, Starbucks, and the beach?

Great house, location to beach, outstanding support staff. Exceptionally clean.
Very pleased with property. However, primary microwave did not work, primary living space and one bedroom would not cool below 78 degrees during the afternoon and evening. Lower level refrigerator kept failing until we attached it to an extens6 cord to another outlet

Nicest house on the beach
Our family of 12 had an amazing week at Dream Home! The house is beautiful with the most impressive sunset views every night. We enjoyed the downstairs game room playing foosball, ping pong and pool, as well as the rooftop and the extra touches like the beach cart and ice machine. It was so convenient and nice to be right on the beach and we saw dolphins, manta rays and manatees. The house is very convenient to the Captiva Island restaurants and stores. We would definitely stay here again!

Our new favorite rental in Capitva!
We have rented houses in Captiva for a few years now and this is our new favorite. The ocean view when you walk into the house is breathtaking. We visited with 2 other families and there was no shortage of games in the house to keep the kids fully occupied. We really love the fact that there is direct beach access from the house where you can keep a close eye on the kids from. The fishing off the beach was not great but could have been the tides or more likely the angler! Saw lots of dolphins swimming by, schools of tarpon on the first day, a manatee or two, and a fever of rays that swam about 10 feet off the beach and temporarily scared the swimmers was quite the experience. To top it off, turtles came up and layed eggs right in front of the house the last night. It's great that the owner has the blackout blinds to not scare the turtles away at night. We would definitely come back to this house again.

This property was more spectacular than appeared in listing. The house is so close to the water and beach that when we needed to get out of the sun we could easily move to the expansive back porch with ample seating. This large open home was perfect for our family group—perfect for group and alone time!

Great Beach House

Jaw dropping vacation home
This was the most amazing property we have ever rented. The high ceilings, unique architecture, sweeping views, covered porch to take in storms and sunsets, rooftop decks, and direct beach access made for a perfect vacation home. Ping pong, pool table, and foosball kept our teens entertained when they were not in the water or taking advantage of YOLO’s water sports just down the beach. We will look forward to returning to this fantastic property.

Perfect Week
Worth every penny. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our stay. We were a group of two couples with young children. The open concept center floor was great for letting the babies wander and the two bedrooms w/ play area downstairs gave the moms and dads an opportunity to enjoy a little privacy. The sunset views from the patio was absolute perfection and being right on the beach was great for an early morning swim. Walkable to all the restaurants and bars (even by the beach to get to the Mucky Duck). The house was clean with great kitchen, spacious master(s), pool table, foosball, ping pong, and hot tubs. Splurge on the beachfront house, you will not regret it.
