A remote location, North Captiva Island is accessible only by ferry or private boat. This private island community is reminiscent of old Florida as it once was during a simpler time. Just 3 miles off shore, this tropical paradise is part of the Lee Island Coast barrier island chain in South West Florida. This exclusive 3-mile long ½-mile wide private barrier island is only reached by ferry or private boat. You are met at North Captiva docks by our property management crew, which will provide white glove service by handling and transporting all your bags while you are taken on a brief tour of the island and get checked in. Picture old Florida living on a paradise island with no cars, crowds, high rises, or streetlights. The nearest airport to fly to would be in Fort Myers, Fl. Travel by golf cart or bicycle on our sandy native trails. Here, you will find no cars, no crowds. North Captiva Island offers a small town impression with just enough amenities to suit your family needs.

Great house, close to beach!
Maine Deck is a beautiful house, close to the beach. and. beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the pool and the ping pong table. There were 9 of us, including two teenagers and we were very comfortable. Would have liked a bathroom in the third bedroom. otherwise, the house was great!

Maine Deck family stay
We stayed in The Maine Deck property for a week this winter with kids ages 3,5, and 7, myself and my husband and a set of grandparents. The house is beautifully done with stunning views of the ocean! The beach is a short walk! We also enjoyed the beach off of the nature preserve trail! The house had everything we needed. Request a key if you want to lock up the house, stop for plenty of groceries at Publix in Cape Coral and bring the sunscreen! We would recommend this house to others. It was great for our family! My kids especially loved the heated pool! We had A little trouble with the golf cart but they gave us and extra and although we didn’t all fit, we could take turns using it! North Captiva is truly a gem and this house was a perfect fit! We would definitely return!

Everything was just about perfect!! Except for the rain.
The property was better than anticipated. The location to the beach was a short walk away. We had 9 people in our party and the 6 person golf cart got a lot of use but was perfect for getting everyone to where we needed to be. The island is such a laid back setting it was just perfect to relax and unwind. The pool at the house was perfect and got a lot of use. We used the corn hole boards towards the end of our vacation and the downstairs table for cards etc by the pool. The first morning we were there we got up early and saw the sunrise which was awesome on the top deck. We went up there numerous times for pictures and just to take the sights of the island. The house was spacious and well decorated. The screened in porch on the second level was used a lot also in the evenings to read and also play cards plus it was a great place to sort out all the shells we gathered thru the week. But the icing on the cake is definately the two property managers Laurie and Duncan. They were AWESOME!! From helping me to find an additional charter to get some of our party to the island on the first day to just stopping by and talking/visiting with us. We celebrated my sons 21st birthday on the island but we needed a few items to make a certain frosting that we loves. I texted Laurie and asked if there was a way I could get the two items and she immediately responded and said she would bring them over in a short while. That is what I call going "WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND." But getting to know them a little bit that week, these are the types of things that are no brainers to them. We felt like we got treated like family and that is the true icing on the cake. There is no doubt we are interested in returning to the islnd in the future. Not only will we be looking at the beautiful houses but also if Laurie and Duncan are managing it as well.
