The hotel is extremely old and in need of significant renovation, as the condition of the rooms, the exterior of the building, and the corridors is outdated. It smells of age and dampness. However, the staff is very pleasant and welcoming. Our room had a view of Cardiff Castle, and considering the price and location, the cost is justified.

Everything was amazing the rooms the service available and just the overall atmosphere nobody judged anyone professionalism was at its peek i enjoyed saying hi to the man behind the front desk every time i walked in and out unfortunately can't remember his name but he very much made me feel welcome only had to complain about my neighbours due to lots of shouting and banging but otherwise i absolutely loved it

Angel Hotel full of Angels
The hotel staff were exceptional! So very friendly and helpful. There was a rugby game on the Sunday at the stadium next door which meant the city had road closures from 12-8pm the staff offered advice on best local transport and car parking to meet our needs, they were very busy but appeared calm and friendly throughout our stay, very impressed and felt so welcome. One of the lifts wasn't working but the other was fine, a little slow but when on the 3rd floor still worth the wait! Breakfast buffet was well attended to, all restaurant staff were quick to assist and friendly, paying attention to cleaning plates and restocking the hot buffet at regular intervals. The cleaning staff were so friendly too! All round top service from this well placed hotel - we cant wait to return!

Nice short stay
Lovely hotel, great location and excellent value. Needs a little updating here and there but didn't take from our stay. Lovely breakfast, cheaper buying online than when there.

Dirty carpet, dirty chairs, tired overall. Peeling paint cracks in walls. No air con. Windows wouldnt open and heating couldnt be turned off. In desperate need of upgrade. Plus we paid for premium room with view of castle and didnt get it
