Had trouble getting into underground car- park after a long journey- shutter would not go up, tried ringing reception- no answer. Had to reverse out, drive round the front of the hotel, go into reception, who then manually opened shutter. Room good size, if a little chilly, put on the plug in heaters. Spotlessly clean. Unfortunately our room was next to the busy road, so noisy, could hear the lifts in use aswell. So not a great nights sleep. Will request a quieter room if we stay again. Reported the shower as was either burning hot or cold. On the positive , great location, friendly staff.

Handy but needs some TLC
Disappointed when found room it was for disability; no shower enclosure/bath. Asked reception for change of room after being told nothing was available we were found another room which was a lot better. Found room very noisey from traffic and lift; we were on 12th floor. Breakfast was good with friendly staff serving. Parking onsite in secure basement was good; always disappointing when have to pay but seems the way of hotels these days. Good location for our requirements Theatre & Shopping. Hotel felt a bit tired and needed updating; sound proof windows etc. Didn't use Spa but looked nice.

Bathroom was lovely - very very clean Reception staff were rude Rooms were nice but dated decor - the carpet did not fit the room - gap between the carpet and the wall - could see the concrete underneath. No underlay under the carpet so very hard floor

It was a good sized and comfortable room. Unfortunately the air conditioning did not work. It was annoying that there was a charge for the parking and for use of the pool. It annoys me that hotels are increasingly adding on charges and becoming more like some airlines where headline rate does not reflect the final charge.

Disappointed by the front of house reception check in. Quite abrupt and asked about parking then a chip and pin put in my face….. £21 for parking outside Cardiff city. Obscene. 25% of the room rate basically.

It was a nice hotel room, spacious. I didn’t use the spa or restaurant as I was only there one night. Parking was limited. I had to park in the car park across the road, there is no discount code so I ended up paying more as I booked this hotel due to the car park.

Pleasant stay for half marathon weekend
Hotel was very good, clean, etc. Only issue was we arrived late due to flight issues and really wanted food. Ordered pizzas from room service that were barely edible. Also no kettle in room but this was quickly resolved.

Good stay here. Room was very large and comfortable. A nice bar and restaurant. The food was good. Walkable to downtown area. Helpful desk attendants. Had laundry service and was done the next day. We did not get a chance to utilize the pool/spa area, although it looked nice. There are a few maintenance items that need to be tended to; leaking shower door, some paint and others, but not as bad as some reviews say here. Overall a comfortable stay and would recommend.
