Surprised to find out at the hotel a cost of £25 for car parking. This is twice the amount that is typical at most other hotels. Information not available in advance so had no other option but to pay it. The rooms and communal areas are looking very tired and in need of some painting. Our room had no pictures on the wall and felt very blank and soulless. The carpet had not been hoovered properly before our visit.

Great stay
Very close to the pubs.... so easy to get back to after having a few to drink. Bed was comfortable. Gotta say the rooms were clean and no noise heard.

This is a lovely hotel within walking distance of everything we needed. Room was very good, clean and spacious. The reception team were brilliant and the parking really easy- we were able to park early and check in later. We would definitely stay here again.

UK guests request to bring photo ID when check-in
The hotel reception desk requested the UK resident showing the photo ID or passport, and we almost could not check-in. But I never come across this situation with other hotels in the UK.

Room was very comfortable. However when visited restaurant for breakfast the service was quite poor when compared to same hotel in Edinburgh. Tables weren't cleared, no plates available for some food areas. Requested bottled water from waitress who advised that was not available in restaurant and to visit reception, who were surprised by that request being referred to them. Also when arrived at breakfast the restaurant manager checked us in but didn't direct to table. Also very little communication from all waitressing staff. I was disappointed from my experience at the Cardiff hotel when compared to the fantastic service received in Edinburgh which doesn't put Wales in a good light

Rooms were a little dated but clean, the bathroom seemed to have had a refurbish recently although the bath was a little high to get in for a shower. One room had been set up with a king-size bed after I asked for a room with two single beds as my children were using the room.

Great, carpet was a bit grubby looking but not awful otherwise was decent, basic hotel room really. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was probably the nicest bit. Also had some nice views of the city from our window. Would stay there again for sure. Breakfast was fab too. Lots on offer and really good quality food. After claiming it was an ‘unforgettable experience’ I had a high standard before I went in and couldn’t fault the food at all! Good stuff!! Recommend staying here.

The usual attention to detail from Radisson was lacking. No personal note. Some staff were unkept looking and the room was well worn in areas. One if not the least well presented Radisson of quite a few I’ve booked.
